Episode Summary
Nuan Nuan discovers Wang Xiao's affair, leading Sheng Xuezhu to divorce him and grow closer to Yu Leshan. Qiao Zhengjun gets Leshan fired and secretly tries to bond with his biological daughter, Nuan Nuan. Xuezhu learns Leshan was fired and rushes to his side in Beijing, where they officially become a couple. Meanwhile, Qiao Zhengjun's wife, Liu Tianyao, discovers the secret photos of Nuan Nuan he hid. Leshan starts a new job selling shampoo and plans to film a commercial with Xuezhu. The episode ends with Xuezhu almost telling Nuan Nuan about her new relationship.

Nuan Nuan Sees Everything
The episode kicks off with a bang. Nuan Nuan accidentally walks in on her dad, Wang Xiao, with Tao Xiyun. There is no misunderstanding the situation. She sees the whole thing. It’s brutal, but someone had to find out eventually.
Xuezhu Ends Her Marriage
After Nuan Nuan’s discovery, the secret is out. Sheng Xuezhu doesn't waste any time. She immediately decides to divorce Wang Xiao. She has put up with enough, and this was the final straw. Yu Leshan is there for her through the whole ordeal. He helps pull her out of her grief. Their bond gets much stronger, very quickly.
A New Couple Forms While Another Crumbles
This episode was all about contrasts. As one relationship officially begins, another one is headed for total disaster.
Leshan and Xuezhu Get Together
Things get complicated when Qiao Zhengjun secretly gets Yu Leshan fired. Leshan doesn't want to worry Xuezhu, so he keeps the news to himself. He heads to Beijing to appeal the decision about his company, Shanhe Home Furnishings. The government office gives him the runaround.
Back home, Zhang Yadan goes to see Dr. Xuezhu for a checkup. We learn Yadan is pregnant. She also casually mentions that Leshan got fired. Xuezhu hears this and immediately leaves for Beijing. She finds Leshan in his hotel room, frustrated and ready to give up. She tells him she's there to support him, no matter what. This is the moment they finally become a real couple. They've been through so much, and they decide to face the future together.
Qiao Zhengjun's Messy Home Life
While Leshan and Xuezhu are having their big romantic moment, Qiao Zhengjun is living in misery. He gets into a huge fight with his wife, Liu Tianyao. She blames his mother, Zhao Xianzhi, after their son Ran Ran gets a nosebleed. Tianyao yells at her mother-in-law and storms out. Zhengjun is furious with his wife. He later tells his mom he regrets his marriage and wishes he had stayed with Qu Fangfei, Nuan Nuan's mother.

So many secrets are floating around. Some are about to be exposed in the worst way possible.
Qiao Zhengjun's Secret Daughter
Qiao Zhengjun is getting bolder in his attempts to connect with Nuan Nuan. He uses the excuse that he knows where Wang Xiao is to visit her. He even tries to give her money, but she refuses it. Then he asks for a photo of her, and she agrees. He’s so happy to have the picture. He knows his wife would be suspicious, so he hides the photo behind a mirror in a picture frame. He also admits to his mother that he has been seeing his biological daughter. She warns him to stop before Liu Tianyao finds out and causes a massive scene.
The Photos Are Found
The warning comes too late. Liu Tianyao goes home after the fight with her mother-in-law. She is still furious. In a fit of rage, she throws a cup at the wall, smashing the picture frame. An envelope falls out. Inside, she finds a bankbook and the photos of Nuan Nuan. The secret is officially out.
A New Beginning (and a New Gig)
With his old company gone, Leshan has to start over.
Leshan's Shampoo Hustle
Leshan moves back to his old home in Liangchuan. The neighbors are gossips, but he ignores them. He needs a job, so he takes a position at a cosmetics factory. His task is to sell a bunch of overstocked shampoo. The product is good, but the price is too high. He and an engineer named Liu Gong go around to salons trying to sell it. They get rejected everywhere. Leshan doesn't get discouraged. He uses the time to learn everything about the shampoo's formula from the engineer.
He decides to film his own TV commercial for the shampoo. He even convinces Xuezhu to be the model for the ad. She's hesitant at first, but he talks her into it.
The Almost-Confession
Nuan Nuan finishes her final exams, and she did very well. Xuezhu picks her up from school to celebrate. She can tell her mom is happier lately. Xuezhu is right on the verge of telling Nuan Nuan about her relationship with Leshan. But Nuan Nuan interrupts to ask for money for a trip to Hangzhou with her friends. Xuezhu puts the confession on hold for now.
