Episode Summary
In this episode, Qingcheng and the Black Fox escape from Qingtong's prison. The main team reunites in Qianji City to investigate a mysterious woman named Guli Zan, who is making demons disappear. They attempt a plan where Fan Yunfei tries to seduce her, but it's a trap. Fan Yunfei is captured and turned into a power source for the Black Fox's evil formation.

Qingtong's Risky Offer
Let's get one thing straight. Qingcheng has a new plan. He thinks he has everything under control again. He's always so confident, isn't he?
Elsewhere, Qingtong tries to make a deal. She tells Qingcheng she will let him go. But there's a condition. He has to get rid of the Black Fox for good. Qingtong realizes her own emotional power is the key to hurting the Black Fox. The problem is, she can't use it. As long as Qingcheng is in danger, her hands are tied. It’s a classic stalemate.
The Weakest Moment
This stalemate doesn't last long, though. Qingcheng and the Black Fox are just waiting for the right moment. They find it on the night when Qingtong's magic is at its absolute weakest. They use her vulnerability to break the formation holding them. And just like that, they're free.
The Gang Reunites in Qianji City
A Not-So-Secret Mission
Quan Rumu manages to save Long Weiyun. He quickly figures out this whole situation is a lot messier than it looks. His first priority is sending a message to Wangquan Fugui.
Wangquan Fugui gets the news. He tells Fan Yunfei to head back to Qianji City. He needs to help Quan Rumu investigate. Wangquan Fugui himself will continue on to the Western Regions alone. So, Fan Yunfei returns home. He even brings a gift for Li Xueyang. You have to admit, their reunion is pretty sweet after so much time apart.
But he's not just there for a romantic getaway. He’s there to look into the mystery person Quan Rumu warned them about. Li Xueyang says she's seen this person on her patrols. This individual has been recruiting a ton of people. The weirdest part? Their food supplies haven't increased at all. That’s a huge red flag. Where are all these recruits going?
Old Feuds and New Friends
Quan Rumu and Long Weiyun finally arrive in the city. Quan Rumu and Fan Yunfei are overjoyed to see each other. They get even more excited when they hear Wangquan Fugui found Qingtong. It’s a full-on bro hug.
On the other side of the room, things are tense. Long Weiyun and Li Xueyang look ready to fight. I guess a thousand-year blood debt between dragons and humans will do that. The guys think they'll have to keep them separated forever. But then you blink, and suddenly they're acting like best friends. They both agree that ancient history can wait. The peace of the Western Regions is what matters now. Well, that was fast.
The Honey Trap Goes Wrong
Undercover at the Recruitment Drive
The team decides to investigate the recruitment drive together. A woman named Guli Zan is running the show. She seems to like Li Xueyang and tells her she can stay. As for Fan Yunfei and Quan Rumu, she says she wants to choose between them.
Fan Yunfei gets a bad feeling. This whole setup feels way too familiar. He tries to back out of it. Quan Rumu, thinking fast, just fakes fainting on the spot. With Quan Rumu out of the running, Guli Zan decides she will "spend the night" with Fan Yunfei.
Long Weiyun and Li Xueyang drag the "unconscious" Quan Rumu away. Li Xueyang is furious. They still have no idea who Guli Zan is or what she's really doing. They do know that a lot of powerful demons have joined her ranks and then vanished completely. This whole thing stinks.
A Desperate Plan
Quan Rumu creates a diversion for the guards. It works. Li Xueyang slips into Guli Zan's private chambers. Inside, she finds a terrified sand fox demon. He tells her his brother was sent into a magical formation by Guli Zan and was never seen again. Many other demons who came here suffered the same fate.
The team realizes they have to take a big risk. Quan Rumu tells Fan Yunfei he has to go through with it. He needs to use his good looks to get close to Guli Zan and her powerful scepter.
The Trap Is Sprung
Fan Yunfei follows the plan. He enters Guli Zan's room, trying to act casual. He edges closer to her scepter. He has no idea he's already lost. This was her plan all along. Guli Zan uses the scepter and teleports him right into the formation.
Li Xueyang, Quan Rumu, and Long Weiyun burst into the room too late. Fan Yunfei is gone. Guli Zan smirks. She tells them she knew who they were the entire time.
The final blow comes with a horrifying reveal. Fan Yunfei has become the living core of the Wanku Formation. He is now a battery. And the Black Fox is on the other end, feeling a constant, endless flow of power.
