Episode Summary
Quan Jingting forces Long Weiyun to surrender by threatening Quan Rumu's life. This leads to a confrontation where Rumu is tricked and fatally stabbed. After Rumu dies in her arms, Weiyun sacrifices her own life to be with him. A grief-stricken Wangquan Fugui hunts down Jingting for revenge, and in the ensuing fight, his hidden power is unleashed.

A Horrible Choice
Jingting's Ultimatum
So, the episode kicks off with Quan Jingting holding all the cards. He has Long Weiyun cornered. He gives her an ultimatum. She can either seal her own demon powers and leave with him quietly. Or she can watch him torture Quan Rumu until he dies. It’s a brutal choice. For Weiyun, it’s no choice at all. She agrees to save the man she loves.
Meanwhile, Wangquan Fugui is far away. He feels his own sword power getting weaker. He has a really bad feeling about what’s happening. He decides he needs to get back to the Western Regions immediately.
A Love Story Ends in Blood
The Trap Is Sprung
Quan Rumu wakes up. He finds himself in a nightmare. Jingting has dragged Weiyun here. She's been tortured. Her horns and scales have been stripped away. She’s a wreck. Rumu is filled with a cold fury. He completely regrets not killing Jingting when he had the chance.
Jingting just keeps pushing. He tells Rumu he's going to kill Weiyun right in front of him. This is the last straw. Rumu absolutely explodes with power. He cuts Jingting down in a single, powerful strike.
The Final Betrayal
Rumu rushes over to a wounded Weiyun. But Jingting isn't dead. He gets back up. He stabs Rumu straight through the back. It’s a fatal blow. Weiyun is hysterical. She wants to get him to Tushan for healing. But it’s too late.
Rumu knows he’s dying. He says the wish he made at the tree can never come true now. Weiyun takes out the red wedding veil he bought for her. She puts it on. She tells him what her wish was. She wished that whatever he wished for would come true. He dies in her arms. Just then, Wangquan Fugui arrives. He sees the whole tragic scene. He is completely devastated. He gently closes Rumu's eyes. Then, crying, he leaves to find Jingting and get revenge.
A Dragon's Promise
Long Weiyun buries Quan Rumu. She leans against his gravestone and speaks to him. She explains that in her dragon clan, they don't live on if their beloved dies. She has already decided to be his wife. She uses her Dragon Core, her very life force, to create a final snow for him. The magic is meant to help them find each other again in the next life. After her sacrifice is complete, she dies at his grave.
The Hunt for Revenge
A Confrontation Ignites
Fan Yunfei and Li Xueyang get the news. They are both crushed. Li Xueyang calls Rumu a true hero. Wangquan Fugui is now hunting for Jingting with a terrifying intensity. The Black Fox sees this chaos as an opportunity.
Fugui finally tracks Jingting down. Jingting is even more powerful now. He's still obsessed with killing Fugui, taking the Wangquan Sword, and ruling everything. He starts taunting Fugui. He brings up the deaths of Rumu and Fugui's father. Then he pulls out the ultimate insult. It's the simple stone Fugui gave Rumu to skip across the water years ago.
Fugui is paralyzed by grief. Jingting sees his opening and lunges. This turns out to be a very, very bad idea. The attack awakens Fugui’s Pure Yang Flame.
