Episode Summary

Xiao Ying is manipulated by Lu Qi after hearing Hong Qing might be dead. She is hypnotized using a bug and attempts to assassinate the Emperor. Ling Cangcang intervenes to save him but suffers a miscarriage during the struggle. The Emperor is devastated while his brother begs for mercy for the possessed princess.

Xiao Ying is having a rough time. Her man Hong Qing left without saying goodbye. She is ready to explode at anyone who comes near her. Then a friend of Hong Qing shows up. He delivers a message just in time. Hong Qing wants her to take care of a specific flower. He wants it to bloom. This simple task works like magic. Xiao Ying calms down immediately. She promises to grow that flower. She even visits Ling Cangcang. She tells her she isn't mad anymore. She forgives them for keeping secrets. But she wants to keep that forgiveness between them.

Ling Cangcang doesn't have much to say. She doesn't know when Hong Qing will return either. She reports back to Xiao Huan. The Emperor is impressed. He didn't expect his sister to handle this so well. He still has faith in Hong Qing. He calls him a capable guy. Then he notices a scented sachet nearby. He assumes his sister made it for her crush. The Trap is Set

The villains are busy plotting. Lu Qi and Du Tingxin are watching Xiao Ying. They know she is vulnerable. They also know the Lingbi Sect is out for blood. We see a glimpse of the action. Hong Qing raided the sect to save Shi Yan. He had help from Luo Xianxue. They got Shi Yan out. But Luo Xianxue stayed behind to cover their retreat. He was chased to a cliff. He fell. It does not look good.

Back at the palace, Xiao Ying is trying to hold it together. Servants try to get her to eat. She almost snaps. Then she remembers the flower. She holds back her temper. But the bad news travels fast. She hears about the cliff incident. She breaks. She blames her brother for everything.

Mind Control and Tragedy

Lu Qi sees his chance. He manipulates the grieving princess. He uses hypnosis to turn her against the Emperor. Du Tingxin helps the cause. She drugs the Emperor's food to make him drowsy and weak. Ling Xuefeng decides it is time to act too.

Things get weird and dark. Xiao Ying cuts her own hand. She lets a bug crawl inside her wound. This seals the control over her mind. She goes to find the Emperor. Xiao Huan sees his sister and feels bad for her. He wants to comfort her. He has no idea she is there to kill him.

The Aftermath
