Yan Tuo orchestrates a fake road trip to pass information to his allies, but Lin Xirou sends guards to watch him. Meanwhile, Nie Jiuluo infiltrates Lin Xirou's base, leading to a confrontation and a massive fire started by a captive Earth Owl. Yan Tuo causes a car crash to buy time, successfully handing off the intel while Lin Xirou begins to suspect his betrayal.

Things are heating up. Literally. We have a road trip that nobody actually wants to be on, a secret infiltration mission, and a massive fire. Yan Tuo is playing a dangerous game right under Lin Xirou's nose. I honestly don't know how his heart rate isn't constantly at 200 beats per minute.
The Most Awkward Double Date Ever
We start with Lin Ling. She is miserable. She goes to get medicine from Lu Xian, and he tries to joke around. It doesn't work. She complains that her life is a stagnant pool of water. She feels like a pet kept in a cage.
Yan Tuo decides to use this. He tells Lin Ling to follow his lead at dinner. Once they are eating, Yan Tuo puts on a performance. He loudly talks about Lin Ling and Lu Xian’s "relationship." He suggests they need a romantic getaway to bond. He even invites himself along as a third wheel.
Lin Xirou is sharp, though. She doesn't trust this sudden vacation vibe. She insists that Feng Mi goes with them. Later, she pulls Feng Mi aside. Her orders are clear: watch Yan Tuo like a hawk.
Bathroom Breaks and Secret Plans
The next day, the four of them hit the road. The sun is shining, but the vibes are tense. Yan Tuo whispers to Lu Xian. He needs cover. He has to get to Hanlin for business.
But they aren't alone. Lin Xirou sent backup. Xiong Hei and Old Fourth are tailing their car. They are sticking to them like glue.
Yan Tuo fakes a stomach ache to force a stop at a service station. This is where Xing Shen pops up. He sees Feng Mi guarding Yan Tuo like a prison warden. He realizes the original plan is dead. He texts Yan Tuo. The new meeting spot is Licheng.
Lu Xian spots the tail while buying snacks. He sees Xiong Hei. He runs to the bathroom to warn Yan Tuo. Yan Tuo thinks fast. He comes out and claims he wants famous hotpot in Licheng. It’s a flimsy excuse, but it moves the group toward the new rendezvous point.
Nie Jiuluo Brings the Heat
While the boys are playing car games, Nie Jiuluo is doing the heavy lifting. She sneaks into Lin Xirou’s farm. She takes out a guard and gets into the experimental base.
What she finds is a nightmare. There are bodies everywhere. She also finds Li Yueying, an Earth Owl, chained up.
Lin Xirou catches her. They fight. It gets messy. During the chaos, Li Yueying makes a move. She rips some electrical wires. Sparks fly. The whole place catches fire. The fire spreads fast and burns up the experimental bodies. Nie Jiuluo manages to escape the inferno.
The Fender Bender Distraction
Lin Xirou is panicking. Her base is burning. She calls Xiong Hei and Feng Mi. She orders them back immediately.
This is bad for Yan Tuo. He hasn't met Xing Shen yet. He can't let them turn the car around now. He does something reckless. He slams on the brakes.
He causes a rear-end collision. It’s chaos. While everyone is arguing with the other driver, Yan Tuo slips away. He runs to Xing Shen’s car nearby. He hands over the intel. The mission is a success, barely.
Back at the base, the bad guys are confused. They think the Nanshan hunters attacked them. Lin Xirou has a darker thought. She suspects Yan Tuo orchestrated this. She knows he is the only one smart enough to pull it off. But she is in denial. She doesn't want to believe he would betray her.
