Episode Summary
Miss Liao gets banned for inappropriate content, scaring Zhang Ran into begging Lin Anran for work. Zhang Ran decides to move out despite her mother's sadness and rents a place with bad wiring. Fu Yudong struggles to connect with his father after a hospital discharge. Li Daoqi tries to rig a soccer game to win an investor, but Fu Yudong plays for real. The investor likes Fu Yudong, forcing Li Daoqi to sell his house to buy into the partnership.

The Livestream Wars
Things get messy right out of the gate. Miss Liao and Xiao Jianjian are in a heated livestream PK battle. Liao is losing. She gets desperate. She decides to cross the line with some risky, suggestive content to boost her numbers. It backfires immediately. Her channel gets banned.
Zhang Ran sees an opening. She goes to Lin Anran and begs for another shot. She humbles herself completely. Lin Anran isn't interested. She shuts Zhang Ran down cold.
Zhang Ran goes back to her own stream. It’s a disaster. She watches Miss Liao get evicted from her studio. Liu Bo whispers in her ear. He claims Lin Anran is the one who got Liao banned. This scares Zhang Ran. She realizes her career is on life support. She tries everything. She changes her look. She changes her style. Nothing works. Her follower count stays flat.
She goes back to Lin Anran. She begs again. Lin Anran explains the situation. Xiao Jianjian saved the last stream. She owes him a favor. Zhang Ran has to wait a week for an answer. Then Lin Anran brings up the rumors. She asks if Zhang Ran is scared of her. She denies sabotaging Liao.
Apartment Hunting and Family Tension
Zhang Ran is at home. Her room is a mess. Her mother complains about the clutter. Zhang Ran drops a bomb. She is moving out. She is already looking for a place. Her mom is visibly upset. They talk about Fu Yudong. He isn't going back to Canada.
The apartment hunt is rough. Everything is expensive. An agent takes Zhang Ran to a place with great decoration. It looks pricey. Fu Yudong tags along. He checks the bathroom. He finds major issues with the plumbing and wiring. He tells her to walk away. Zhang Ran doesn't care. The natural light is good. She wants to rent it anyway.
Daddy Issues
Fu Yudong picks up his father, Fu Yongjun, from the hospital. The doctor runs through a list of precautions. He asks about the old man's daily habits. Fu Yudong freezes. He doesn't know a single thing about his father's life.
This triggers a memory. We go back to 2006. His father married his stepmother, Wang Xiaoyan. Young Fu Yudong was miserable that day. The distance between them makes sense now. Later that night, Zhang Ran's mom gives her advice. She tells Zhang Ran to help fix the relationship between Fu Yudong and his dad.
The Soccer Scheme
Li Daoqi is desperate for investment. He sets up a soccer match with a potential investor named Xing Kai. He has a plan. He puts Fu Yudong on the opposing team. He tells Fu Yudong to throw the game. The goal is to let Xing Kai win and feel good.
Fu Yudong ignores the plan. He plays hard. He plays aggressive. He actually knocks Xing Kai over. Li Daoqi panics. He thinks the deal is dead.
He is wrong. Xing Kai loves it. He appreciates Fu Yudong's raw honesty. He agrees to the partnership. But there is a catch. He wants Fu Yudong running things. He offers Li Daoqi a job as a sales manager. Li Daoqi has too much pride for that. He wants to be a partner. He offers to put up the remaining 49% of the investment.
He doesn't have the cash. He plans to sell his house to cover it. Fu Yudong thinks this is a terrible idea.
Buying a Way Back In
Zhang Ran changes tactics. She stops begging and starts spending. She buys coffee for everyone in Lin Anran's livestream. She buys a ton of products from the stream. It works. Money talks. Lin Anran finally agrees to let her help out in the studio.
