Episode Summary
Xu Jingzhi confronts Zhang Yutong, leading to a violent struggle where he is stabbed and she is arrested. Xu exposes Chen Danling for tampering with medication and manipulating past tragedies. The Standoff at the Apartment
Xu Jingzhi doesn't waste time on pleasantries. He flashes his badge at Zhang Yutong and drops a bomb. He knows she and Wang Chen are close friends. He puts it all out in the open.
A noise comes from inside the room. Xu doesn't wait for an invitation. He kicks the door in. Zhang Yutong is too stunned to stop him. Inside, Zhuang Mingcheng is locked up and unconscious.
Things get messy fast. Xu tries to rescue Zhuang, but Zhang Yutong snaps. She stabs Xu. He’s forced to retreat into the room for cover. Outside, Zhang loses her mind. She screams and batters the door, trying to get at them.
The Aftermath
He Ya can't get a hold of Xu. Back at the apartment, Zhang finally breaks the door down. Xu is ready. He knocks her out cold.
He takes a look around. The traces of her "relapse" look wrong. It feels staged.
Wang Chen shows up and wallows in guilt. He thinks he destroyed Zhang Yutong. He believes a different choice back then would have saved her. Police drag a stone-faced Zhang away. Wang chases after them. He promises not to abandon her this time. He wants to visit. She refuses to see him.
Xu gives Wang a harsh reality check. Zhang is in this mess because Wang stayed silent before. His guilt is useless now.
Dirty Pills and Hidden Hands
Chen Danling messed with Zhang’s medication. She denies it until Xu plays a video of her doing it. He digs deeper. Years ago, an event Chen organized led to a friend getting raped. Chen even wrote about it in her book.
Chen shrugs it off. She admits she just "nudged" things along. She asks Xu a pointed question: does he want results or the truth?
Here is the kicker. Xu Jingzhi is actually pulling the strings behind the scenes. His manipulation allowed Zhuang Mingcheng to drag everyone down into this mud.
Later, Xu and He Ya share a quiet meal. It’s a rare moment of peace. Xu knows she worries about his memory returning.
The Miracle Recovery
Zhuang Mingcheng plays the artist. He jokes about learning sculpture. He calls Xu over to chat. Xu senses something is off. Zhuang claims he wants to save Zhang Yutong. Xu thinks he is lying through his teeth, but they keep it civil.

Xu leaves. The act drops. Zhuang Mingcheng stops pretending. He hops right out of his wheelchair. He walks behind a wall and finds Jiang Yue. He demands the ledger.
Blood for Loyalty
Jiang Yue has the book. But she has a price. She wants to kill Hu Bo to avenge Wu Xinxin.
Zhuang Mingcheng keeps his word. He has Hu Bo tied up and waiting. He tells Jiang Yue to do it herself. Killing Hu Bo is the only way to prove she is serious about the mission.
Jiang Yue makes her move. Zhuang stands in the dark, dressed in black. He watches the violence unfold in silence.
