Episode Summary
Wan Qing tries to intimidate Jiang Mu and seduce Jin Chao, but Jin Chao rejects her advances. Jiang Mu moves into Jin Chao's room under false pretenses and invites him to her school's Open Day. Lin Sui deduces that Jin Chao possesses the rare three-rotor engine. Jin Chao lends Jiang Mu his prized high school uniform, which reveals his past academic brilliance. After a fight about a puppy triggers abandonment issues, Jin Chao adopts the dog for Jiang Mu, bringing them closer together.

Dinner Table Politics
Wan Qing shows up at the garage. She corners Jiang Mu immediately. She wants to know the deal between Jiang Mu and Jin Chao. Jiang Mu stays quiet. She realizes this woman is the "Little Green Snake" Jin Fengzi talked about.
Jin Chao is busy playing nurse. He bought a chicken to help Jiang Mu recover. San Lai stewed that soup for two hours. Jin Fengzi tries to steal a piece of meat. San Lai stops him just in time. Jin Fengzi gets the hint. He puts the meat in Jiang Mu’s bowl instead.
Wan Qing won't let it go. She asks who Jiang Mu belongs to. Jin Fengzi claims she is a "wine sister." Wan Qing pushes harder. She asks if they are blood relatives or just "god" siblings. The table goes silent. Jin Chao drinks his alcohol and walks away. Wan Qing throws chopsticks at Jin Fengzi. He panics and lies. He says they are blood relatives. San Lai backs him up. Wan Qing finally relaxes.
The Knife and the Deal
Jin Fengzi actually works for the Wan family garage. He helped Jin Chao handle a troublemaker named Xiangzi earlier. But loyalty is tricky here.
Jin Chao cuts pig trotters for Jiang Mu. Wan Qing gets jealous. She tries to wipe his hands. He dodges her. She doesn't stop. She starts touching his leg under the table. Jin Chao snaps. He slams his knife into the table. It stands straight up. Jiang Mu jumps.
Later, Jiang Mu asks if Wan Qing is his girlfriend. San Lai laughs at that. He explains Wan Qing is the daughter of the Wan Garage boss. Jin Chao won't date her.
Wan Qing tries to leverage her position. She tells Jin Chao the part he needs isn't in Man City. Her dad bought them all. She offers to get it for him. The price is his submission. Jin Chao refuses. He kicks her out.
Domestic Life and Hidden Engines
Jiang Mu asks about "muddy waters." Jin Chao ignores the question. He tells her to go home. She lies. She says her AC is broken. Jin Chao gives in. She sleeps in his room.
The next morning is chaotic. Jiang Mu oversleeps. Jin Chao lets her rest. She wakes up late and turns on the charm. She begs for a ride. Jin Chao is soft for her. He worries she will be hungry. He buys breakfast and drives her to her training class. Before she leaves, she hands him an invite. It is for the school's Open Day. She wants a parent there.
Meanwhile, Lin Sui visits the garage. He is looking for a three-rotor engine. The crew denies having one. Lin Sui goes to Jin Qiang's restaurant next. He sees Jin Chao stocking beer. He remembers a comment Jiang Mu made. She said Jin Chao drives like her friend. Lin Sui connects the dots. He realizes Jin Chao has the engine.
The Gold Star Uniform
Jin Chao goes home to prep for Open Day. He grabs his old school uniform. It is his most prized possession.
Back at the garage, Jiang Mu needs a keychain. She tries to fish keys out of Jin Chao's pocket while he works. He asks what she is grabbing. She gets flustered and runs off. He stands there confused.
They have a weekend dinner at the garage. Jin Chao gives her the uniform. He hand-washed it himself. San Lai tells her to be careful. Jin Chao treasures that shirt.
Jiang Mu wears it to school. Nana spots the details immediately. The badge has a gold star. That means the owner was a city-level competition winner. It is a rare item.
Old Wounds and New Puppies
Jiang Mu struggles with her homework. Jin Chao helps her. He explains the star is from a Physics competition. Jiang Mu asks why he didn't take the college entrance exam. He stays silent.
San Lai takes Jiang Mu to his pet shop. She sees a puppy. It looks just like "Lightning," a dog she wanted as a kid. Her mom forbade it back then. She and Jin Chao hid the dog outside. It eventually went missing.
Jiang Mu wants this new dog. Jin Chao says no. He warns her about getting attached. He says it is trouble when things leave. Jiang Mu takes this personally. She thinks he is talking about their relationship. She throws a fit and leaves.
Jin Chao caves. He goes back to San Lai and gets the dog. Jiang Mu is thrilled. She names it Lightning. She uses the puppy as an excuse to stay at his place longer. Jin Chao teases her. He tells her to call him "Brother." She does it multiple times. He grins like an idiot.
