Episode Summary
Qin Feng learns his target is actually undercover cop Zeng Xu, and they team up to trap Ma Jin. The police identify Ji Zhujiang as the mole within the department. During a chaotic confrontation at the station, Wang Tao sacrifices his life to save the traitor from an assassin. Ma Jin escapes the police raid but unknowingly boards a boat run by Liu Tianye, who executes him in the woods for revenge.

The Long Con
We start with a trip down memory lane. It is 2002 in Hanzhou City. A young Qin Feng walks into the police station for the first time. He meets Wang Tao. Wang Tao is energetic and shows the new guy the ropes. This bond matters.
Back in the present, Ye Tianyou drops a bomb on Qin Feng. He introduces "Ye Siyuan" properly. His real name is Zeng Xu. He is a narcotics officer. He is undercover. The whole nephew act was just a way to get close to Ma Jin. Qin Feng is annoyed. He spent a lot of time investigating a guy who is actually on their side. They stop bickering and focus. They decide to use Zeng Xu's position. They used a bug hidden in an orchid to feed Ma Jin specific information. Now they wait for him to bite.
Ruthless Tactics
A scheme unfolds elsewhere. A man gets one of Luo Bo's subordinates drunk. He fishes for information. He leaks a tip to Mai Hongchao about an abandoned building in the western suburbs. He suggests Song Hao or Luo Bo might be hiding there.
Wang Lao makes his move too. He tells Ma Jin he is done with Song Hao. Ma Jin can proceed with his plan. Wang Lao has one condition. Do not touch the child. Ma Jin promises he won't. He compares the kid to Luo Bo. This reveals a dark truth. Luo Bo's father died for Ma Jin. Now Ma Jin sends Luo Bo to kill Song Hao. If Luo Bo dies in the process, Ma Jin doesn't care. It solves two problems at once. Wang Lao is actually impressed by the cruelty.
The Mole Revealed
Qin Feng talks to Wang Yiyi. He warns her about leaving with the child. It is too dangerous. He shows her a photo of Ji Zhujiang. She confirms it. That is the cop Song Hao met. Ji Zhujiang is the leak.
Ji Zhujiang prepares to leave. He heads to the station to meet Song Hao. He straightens his uniform on the hanger. It looks like a final goodbye to his career. He walks out and runs straight into Qin Feng and Wang Tao. The jig is up. Qin Feng asks how he lost his way. He remembers how Ji used to look out for them. He asks for accomplices. Ji claims he acted alone. They take him to the station to spring the trap.
A Hero Falls
The station is a powder keg. Luo Bo's men are watching. Song Hao is paranoid. He makes Ji Zhujiang move from a convenience store to a snack shop. He finally shows his face. Luo Bo moves in for the kill. Qin Feng jumps out and arrests Song Hao.
Chaos erupts. Luo Bo's men try to create confusion to cover the hit. Qin Feng fights them off. Luo Bo shoots at Song Hao. Ji Zhujiang tries to run. Wang Tao grabs him. Luo Bo turns his gun on the traitor. Wang Tao doesn't hesitate. He throws his body in front of Ji Zhujiang. He takes the bullet. Wang Tao dies protecting a criminal. The police shoot Luo Bo dead. They rush to Ma Jin's villa next. It is empty.
Vigilante Justice
The police find a link between Wang Lao and Ma Jin. They take Wang Lao in for questioning. Ma Jin thinks he is safe. He runs to the pier. He gets on a boat to escape.
He made a mistake. The boat belongs to He Biao's people and Liu Tianye. Liu Tianye stares at the man who killed his big brother. He has waited for this moment. He pretends he is taking Ma Jin to the police. He finds a notebook with codes in Ma Jin's bag. He drives to a remote forest instead. Liu Tianye strangles Ma Jin. There is no trial. Just revenge. His village brother and Liu Tianfei watch in shock. They recover and help bury the body.
