Episode Summary
The team celebrates Ye Qi's comic hitting #1 again. Ye Qi's awkward attempt at a team-building reward (massage) is amended to a beach trip. At the beach, Jiang Ruo Song gets jealous seeing Zhou Jie Yue with Lu Chen. Ye Qi's clueless photo-taking of couples for "inspiration" leads to him and Zuo Qian Dai being chased. Later, Zhou Jie Yue, annoyed that Jiang Ruo Song is injured while the guys kayak, secretly sabotages their kayak, sinking it. The episode ends with mixed interactions among the potential couples on the beach at night, including Zhou Jie Yue separating "couple fish" at a stall out of frustration.

First off, the good news: Ye Qi's comic, with a little help from his friends, clawed its way back to that coveted #1 spot! Even better, the paycheck landed in his account early, so naturally, everyone was pretty stoked. Ye Qi, in his own special way, wanted to show his appreciation. Zuo Qian Dai and Chai Zi Yu were probably envisioning some sweet gifts, but nope – Ye Qi busted out two commemorative banners. Classic Ye Qi, right? Their faces probably dropped a little. The disappointment didn't stop there. When he announced a team-building trip, spirits lifted, only to crash again when he revealed his grand plan: a traditional Chinese massage session. Thankfully, Zuo Qian Dai stepped in with a compromise: a fun day at the beach, then the massages. Ye Qi, surprisingly, was cool with it.
Meanwhile, a little side-drama was brewing. Zhou Jie Yue took Lu Chen swimsuit shopping. Now, Lu Chen’s got a style that leans pretty masculine, so when Jiang Ruo Song spotted them, he immediately jumped to conclusions, thinking Zhou Jie Yue was out with some other dude. The green-eyed monster flared up big time, especially since Zhou Jie Yue and Lu Chen looked pretty chummy. Unable to contain himself, Jiang Ruo Song swooped in, insisting on carrying Zhou Jie Yue's bags, and basically third-wheeled their shopping trip.
With plans set, the gang headed off for their much-anticipated team outing, excitement in the air. But, of course, Ye Qi’s clueless-dude tendencies decided to make an appearance. In the car, he was so oblivious he didn't even notice Zuo Qian Dai doing her makeup and managed to spew some weird comments that really ticked her off. Once they hit the beach, Ye Qi, ever the artist, started wandering around with his camera, hunting for "inspiration" – which apparently meant snapping pics of young couples, particularly the girls. And he wasn't exactly subtle about it. Naturally, the boyfriends noticed and were not amused. When they confronted him, Ye Qi, bless his heart, just straight-up said he was looking for material and even showed them the photos. Talk about damning evidence! This led to Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai being chased across the sand. In a classic rom-com moment, they even stumbled into an accidental hug while making their escape. After they finally ditched their pursuers, Zuo Qian Dai, ever the pragmatist, suggested Ye Qi could actually use these chaotic moments in his comic. Just as she said that, a clump of seaweed smacked Ye Qi right on the head! Turns out, Jiang Ruo Song had stepped on some seaweed, Zhou Jie Yue helped him pull it off, and then she chucked it away… directly into Ye Qi.
Zhou Jie Yue’s seaweed toss effectively cut short Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai's conversation. Perfect timing, as Gu Zheng Xing and Chai Zi Yu were heading out to kayak and called Ye Qi to join them. Seeing Jiang Ruo Song sidelined with his injury while the three guys were off having a blast, Zhou Jie Yue got a mischievous glint in her eye. She casually went over to their kayak and, on the sly, poked a hole in it with a needle. As Ye Qi and the guys paddled out, their kayak started to slowly deflate, leaving them a bit stranded. Back on shore, Zuo Qian Dai quipped that opening the valve would make it sink way faster. This little comment sparked an idea for Zhou Jie Yue. She immediately swam out, dove under, and yanked open the kayak's valve. Whoosh! Down went the kayak, and the guys with it.
As evening rolled in, Jiang Ruo Song and Gu Zheng Xing were zonked out on beach chairs. Lu Chen seized the opportunity to sneak a quick selfie with the sleeping Gu Zheng Xing. Zhou Jie Yue then tried to chat with Jiang Ruo Song, but he was deep in sleep, music blasting in his ears, and pretty much ignoring her. Fed up, she cranked the volume on his music way up, jolting him awake. Elsewhere, Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai found themselves at a fish stall where the vendor insisted that his "couple fish" had to be bought in pairs. After they left, the still-fuming Zhou Jie Yue and Jiang Ruo Song happened to walk by the same stall. When Zhou Jie Yue heard the vendor going on about how these fish represented couples destined to be together, she snapped. She demanded a net from the vendor and proceeded to separate every single pair of fish in the tank. Despite all the day's drama, as night fell on the beach, it seemed like our three potential couples were, in their own ways, starting to connect.
