Spoiler Alert
So, our aspiring comic duo, Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai, were on a mission to find some real-life "bad boy" inspiration. Their campus stakeout was a total bust – a brief moment of excitement turned out to be just some overly enthusiastic students doing a good deed. Disappointed, Zuo Qian Dai wisely suggested that actual troublemakers probably wouldn't be hanging out where everyone's so well-behaved. Off to the arcade they went!
At the arcade, they zeroed in on a guy practically radiating "gangster" vibes, tattoos and all. Ye Qi was understandably a tad spooked, but with a nudge from Zuo Qian Dai, he went in for a chat. Let's just say Ye Qi's approach to "hello" was a bit unconventional and was immediately misinterpreted as a provocation. Turns out, Mr. Tattoos was some kind of local boss, and his crew was not amused, thinking Ye Qi was looking for a fight. Even though he was probably terrified, Ye Qi did the hero thing and pulled Zuo Qian Dai behind him, ready to face the music.
Just as things were about to get physical with two of the underlings, a revelation: the whole "disrespect" beef was actually about a video game! Ye Qi, quick on his feet, even managed to wow them with some of his gaming insights. You’d think that would smooth things over, but nope. The rest of the toughs still had that "you don't belong here" look, keeping Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai on edge.
Meanwhile, in a completely different kind of pickle, Chai Zi Yu was still stuck up in a tree, desperately trying to figure out how to get down without breaking his neck. His escape plans were repeatedly foiled. First, Zhou Jie Yue casually hopped a wall and decided the spot under his tree was perfect for a nap while waiting for her bag. To get rid of her, Chai Zi Yu sneakily dropped her bag down, and off she went. Freedom at last? Not quite. Next up was Lu Dao, who also decided to hang out under the tree for a good long while. Poor Chai Zi Yu just couldn't catch a break!
Back at the arcade, the atmosphere was still thick with tension. Fearing Ye Qi's precious drawing hand would get injured, Zuo Qian Dai bravely stepped in front of him. Seeing an opening, Ye Qi grabbed her, and they made a bolt for it, managing to find a rather ingenious hiding spot: inside a giant teddy bear! (Arcade prizes for the win, eh?) Tucked away in their fluffy hideout, Zuo Qian Dai noticed Ye Qi's right hand was indeed injured, and she was devastated.
As for Chai Zi Yu, his tree saga continued. He became the unwilling recipient of various passersby's complaints and musings. Finally, when the coast seemed clear, he made his move to descend, but in his haste, he slipped and tumbled... only to be caught by a passing student! Talk about a dramatic rescue.
Once the arcade thugs finally gave up their search and left, Zuo Qian Dai was overwhelmed with guilt, completely convinced that Ye Qi had injured his hand protecting her. She even overheard him muttering about protecting "the most important thing." Her heart soared; surely, she was that important thing to him! Oh, the romantic possibilities!
But then came the grand reveal. Ye Qi pulled out... his sketchbook. Womp womp. His "most precious thing" was his artwork, and his hand got hurt in the process of shielding his drawings from potential damage during their escape. You could almost hear Zuo Qian Dai's heart do a little crack.
