Spoiler Alert
It all kicked off with Zuo Qian Dai having a major crisis of conscience. She was holed up in the bathroom, rewatching her old videos where she absolutely roasted Ye Qi's comic. Hit with a wave of guilt and realizing she might have been a tad too harsh without fully getting his perspective, she cooked up a plan to make amends: a day without phones for herself, Ye Qi, and Chai Zi Yu. The stakes? If they survived the day without any major meltdowns, Ye Qi's comic philosophy was golden. If chaos ensued, well, Zuo Qian Dai's critiques would stand vindicated.
Word of the challenge spread faster than a viral meme. Zhou Jie Yue heard about Zuo Qian Dai's digital detox and was immediately intrigued, thinking it sounded like a blast. Right on cue, Jiang Ruo Song appeared, and Zhou Jie Yue, inspired by Zuo Qian Dai, convinced him to join the phone-free escapade too.
As you can probably guess, going phoneless wasn't exactly a walk in the park. Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai, now without their trusty GPS and messaging apps, were totally at a loss trying to find each other. While Ye Qi was wandering around looking for Zuo Qian Dai, he got approached by a sketchy character trying to sell him a counterfeit phone. Talk about bad luck – the police swooped in and arrested the seller right then and there! Meanwhile, Jiang Ruo Song was also navigating the mall, trying to locate Zhou Jie Yue. In a rather resourceful move, Zhou Jie Yue used the mall's intercom system to announce her whereabouts. Smart!
Zuo Qian Dai eventually meandered into a dessert shop, though she figured Ye Qi wouldn't be there. But surprise, surprise, he was! They were both ecstatic to finally reunite. Ye Qi, wanting to treat Zuo Qian Dai, offered to buy her a cake. The only snag? He had no cash, and neither did she. Thinking his fame might hold some currency, Ye Qi offered his autograph as payment. The shop staff, however, had absolutely no idea who he was and were thoroughly unimpressed, promptly having security escort them out. Awkward!
Now phoneless and cashless, Ye Qi decided it was time to leverage his artistic skills to earn some money. Zuo Qian Dai pitched in, but while a customer loved Ye Qi's drawing, Zuo Qian Dai's artwork didn't quite get the same enthusiastic reception. Ouch, that’s gotta sting the ego a bit.
Elsewhere, Zhou Jie Yue and Jiang Ruo Song went on a movie date, which turned into its own kind of comedy. Zhou Jie Yue's movie-watching style was... unconventional, to say the least. She actually fell asleep and ended up resting her head on Jiang Ruo Song's lap! Afterwards, her summary of the movie's plot was so off-base, it was like she'd watched an entirely different film. Jiang Ruo Song was pretty miffed, convinced she was deliberately trying to embarrass him. Zhou Jie Yue, however, interpreted his annoyance as a sign that he was actually interested in her. Oh, the classic miscommunication!
Back with Ye Qi and Zuo Qian Dai, they were genuinely enjoying their unplugged day when a horrifying realization dawned on them: they had completely forgotten about Chai Zi Yu! Where was he? At the police station, as it turned out. Poor Chai Zi Yu had gotten inadvertently tangled up with that counterfeit phone seller Ye Qi had encountered earlier. So, our duo had to make a detour to spring him.
On the bus ride back, the impact of their phone-free day really started to hit Ye Qi. He began to question his comic, wondering if it was flawed and if his biggest online critic, the notorious "Gong Shi Hei," might have been right all along. Seeing Ye Qi's confidence waver, Zuo Qian Dai and Chai Zi Yu tried to cheer him up. Then, in a moment of courage, and perhaps to shield Ye Qi from further self-doubt, Zuo Qian Dai dropped a massive bombshell: she was Gong Shi Hei. The look on Ye Qi and Chai Zi Yu's faces? Utter shock. And that, folks, is where the episode leaves us hanging! What will Ye Qi do with this revelation? We can't wait to find out!
