A New Hope and an Old Grudge
A New Leader's Burden
The episode kicks off with Xiao Qiushui. He's looking at the Changge sword and thinking about his father. His dad, Xiao Xilou, used to say that a broken sword can be reforged. It’s a pretty heavy moment. Liang Dou then congratulates him on officially becoming the leader of the Huanhua sect. He promises to keep looking for a way to heal Xiao Qiushui's meridians. Xiao Qiushui is grateful, but you can tell he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Tang Fang's Desperate Search
Tang Fang finally makes it back home to the Tang Sect. She immediately asks her father, Tang Shunyao, how to fix someone's meridians. Her dad isn't stupid. He knows she's doing this for Xiao Qiushui. He tells her there's only one person who can help. That person is the Great Seal Master.
She also asks about Liu Suifeng. Her father admits he feels terrible about what happened. The Tang Sect has a strict rule against marrying anyone from outside the sect. He had to give up Liu Suifeng to protect his family's position. Tang Fang doesn't care about the politics, though. She just wants to save Xiao Qiushui, so her dad tells her where to find the master.
Secrets and Betrayals
The Hero's Token
Xiao Qiushui discovers something interesting. He shares memories with Xiao Mingming, and the original book mentioned the "Book of Forgetful Love" was in the sword tomb. He finds a hidden compartment in a stone coffin. Inside is a Hero's Token marked with three fingerprints. Legend says the book is hidden inside the token, but he needs to figure out the command to open it.
The Power-wielding Gang Implodes
Things are not going well over at the Power-wielding Gang. Li Chenzhou is furious with Liu Suifeng. He blames him for killing Taichan Tianzheng. Liu Suifeng realizes someone impersonated Li Chenzhou and gave him a fake order. Li Chenzhou doesn't really care that he was tricked. He says Liu Suifeng was too arrogant to see through a simple disguise. Then he hits him with a palm strike. This wasn't a killing blow. It was a message. Liu Suifeng is officially out of the gang.
Later, Liu Suifeng kneels outside Li Chenzhou's door, begging for another chance. Zhao Shirong tells him to get up. She says he should wait for an opportunity to prove his worth instead of begging.
The Temple Showdown
A Dangerous Journey
Tang Fang gets a message to Xiao Qiushui about the Great Seal Master's location. Liang Dou delivers it and gives him a warning. The area around the temple is a warzone. The Power-wielding Gang is fighting with the Wudang and Shaolin sects. On top of that, a guy named Zhu Datianwang is using the chaos to grab territory from the gang. Everyone is also looking for Shao Liulei, hoping he can lead them to Yan Kuangtu.
A Healer's Test
Xiao Qiushui takes Deng Yuhan to Biechuan Temple. They find the Great Seal Master sweeping the floor. The master hears their request to heal meridians and basically says no. He thinks it's pointless to save anyone when the world is falling apart. People will die anyway.
Xiao Qiushui doesn't argue. He just warns the master to leave. The Power-wielding Gang is close, and the temple will be caught in the crossfire. Right on cue, poisonous snakes appear around the temple. It's a classic Power-wielding Gang move to scout an area. Xiao Qiushui tells Deng Yuhan to get the master to safety. He decides to stay and finally get some revenge for his family.
This seems to be the right answer. The master hears that he is the third son of the Xiao family. He immediately has a change of heart and takes him to a private room. He heals Xiao Qiushui's meridians completely. The master also mentions hearing crying from a courtyard at night. He thinks Shao Liulei is hiding there.
The Stolen Pill
Xiao Qiushui finds Shao Liulei in the courtyard. He lies and says he's a brother of Yan Kuangtu. He claims he was sent to get the Wuji Immortal Pill. Shao Liulei falls for it. He hands over the pill just as the Power-wielding Gang and the Waterway forces show up in the temple. But as Xiao Qiushui reaches for the pill, Song Mingzhu appears out of nowhere and snatches it.
