Episode Summary
Shao Liulei reveals her tragic past and gives Xiao Qiushui the other half of the Longevity Pill before throwing him and Song Mingzhu off a cliff. Xiao Qiushui is cured by a magical snake and vows revenge. Meanwhile, Li Chenzhou's plan to expose a mole in the Power-wielding Gang leads to the death of the Fire King. The investigation now points toward the Fei family and their disguise techniques.

Shao Liulei is not playing games. She easily snatches the Longevity Pill back from Song Mingzhu and blocks her pressure points. Then she drops a major truth bomb. She calls out Xiao Qiushui for lying and reveals her own dark past. Yan Kuangtu held her captive for a decade. He forced her to swallow the Yang half of the Longevity Pill. This caused her to suffer every single day. So, no, she doesn't feel any guilt. In fact, she thinks Song Mingzhu is the perfect cure for her Yang poison problem.
As she prepares to use Song Mingzhu, Xiao Qiushui foolishly starts talking about dignity. This was the wrong move. Annoyed, Shao Liulei grabs him. She decides to teach him what real suffering is. She forces the other half of the pill down his throat. Then she throws both him and Song Mingzhu off a cliff. Let's see how he handles the poison and his high-and-mighty ideals now.
An Unlikely Cure at the Bottom of a Cliff
After tossing them off the cliff, Shao Liulei goes to find the Water King. She wants revenge for him ruining her name years ago when she was caught trying to steal the pill.
Down in the ravine, Xiao Qiushui is in bad shape. The poison is burning him up from the inside. He doesn't want to harm Song Mingzhu in his delirium. So, he throws himself into a freezing lake to cool the Yang energy. It gets weirder. A water snake suddenly appears and bites him. At first, it just hurts. But after the snake leaves, he realizes the burning poison inside him is gone. Shao Liulei mentioned the other half of the pill was a spirit worm. That must have been the snake. He feels a surge of new power. He gets out, frees Song Mingzhu, and gives her a message for Liu Suifeng and Li Chenzhou. He's coming to get revenge for the hundred-plus members of his family.
The Mole Hunt Heats Up
A Test of Loyalty
Liu Suifeng is still kneeling in front of Li Chenzhou's door, begging for forgiveness. Li Chenzhou seems to have a plan. He sends Liu Suifeng with several leaders to Wudang to "apologize" for a past incident. But it's a setup. On the road, the Wudang sect intercepts them, which is a surprise. The Blade King notes that no one knew they were coming. Someone must have leaked their route. Qu Hanshan looks visibly nervous and starts a fight before anyone can talk.
The Power-wielding Gang is outnumbered. Luckily, Zhao Shirong shows up and saves them. She sends the leaders back to the gang for questioning. She tells Liu Suifeng the truth. The trip was just a trick by Li Chenzhou to lure out a traitor.She says that even if everyone else betrayed the gang, Li Chenzhou would never suspect him.The gang has had too many failed plans lately, and Li Chenzhou has long suspected a mole.
The Fire King's Fall
The Blade King uses a special eagle whistle at a place called the Qingfeng Yuan. The Fire King appears, confirming he's a spy. The Blade King asks who his contact is, but the Fire King refuses to talk and tries to escape. He doesn't get far. Liu Suifeng and Zhao Shirong are there to block his path.
Liu Suifeng reveals they already found the secret recipe for the "marching pills" at the Fire King's house. He asks if the Fire King was involved in the Baicao Valley massacre. The Fire King admits to being a traitor but says he had nothing to do with Baicao Valley. He's arrogant. He thinks he's safe from Li Chenzhou's control. Li Chenzhou makes his top eight leaders take a "Life-Worse-Than-Death" pill made from his own blood to ensure loyalty. The Fire King claims he has mastered a technique to dissolve the poison.
He's wrong. Zhao Shirong simply plays a flute. The poison activates immediately. The Fire King's own fire-based attack turns on him, and he burns to death.
New Leads and Dark Plans
With one traitor down, the real mastermind is still hidden. Li Chenzhou has a new theory. He suspects someone from the Fei family. They are masters of the "Thousand Faces" disguise technique. He gives Liu Suifeng two new jobs. First, investigate the Fei family. Second, tell the Worm King to speed up the creation of his corpse beetles. To do that, they need the special soil from the Tang Sect's back mountain. Li Chenzhou gives a final warning. Be patient with the Tang Sect. Do not make the old matriarch angry.
