Episode Summary
The episode begins with Li Shuang's funeral, which is a trap set by Su Muyang to lure out Jin An. Jin An appears, full of grief but also with his powers restored. Instead of a fight, Su Muyang reveals the truth: Li Shuang is not dead but in a death-like state from a special medicine, and he gives Jin An the antidote. After a tense three-day wait, Li Shuang awakens and playfully pretends to have amnesia before she and Jin An properly reunite. Three months later, everyone has found peace: Su Muyang is a good emperor, their friends are happy, and Jin An and Li Shuang have retired from the world to live a quiet, anonymous life together.

The Funeral Fiasco
A Trap Is Set
The episode kicks off with Li Shuang's funeral. It’s all very somber. But right away, you know something is up. Su Muyang designed this whole thing as a trap. He wanted to lure Jin An out into the open. And it works.
Jin An shows up, completely wrecked. He walks to the coffin and sees Li Shuang's face. In a really touching moment, he puts a piece of candy in her hand. He tells her through his tears to eat it secretly.
Then things get real. Jin An has his powers back. He's a one-man army again, and nobody can touch him. Su Muyang even steps up with a sword, but it's useless.
A Confrontation and a Confession
Jin An is furious. He can't believe Su Muyang just watched Li Shuang get forced into this. He's even angrier that Su Muyang used her death to set a trap. Su Muyang is surprisingly calm about it. He says he's ready to die. He figures it's a way for him to join Li Shuang on the road.
But Jin An doesn't kill him. He says killing Su Muyang would just create more hatred. All he wants is to take Li Shuang home.He even tells Su Muyang that he's a good emperor. He says the peace they have now is what Li Shuang died to achieve.
This is when Su Muyang drops the bomb. He used a secret medicine from Tai Jin on Li Shuang. It's called "Hui Meng San," or Dream Return Powder. It makes a person appear dead by suppressing all signs of life. He hands Jin An the antidote. Li Shuang will wake up in three days. The whole thing was a massive gamble on Jin An's love for her.
Su Muyang admits he couldn't love Li Shuang exclusively because of his duties as emperor. But Jin An can. With this, the world no longer has a King of Annan or a General Li.It’s the only way to guarantee peace between Tai Jin and the Yao Kingdom.
The Long Wait
Three Days of Hope
Jin An rushes the antidote to Li Shuang. He takes her back to their place and just waits. For three straight days, he doesn't eat, drink, or sleep. He just sits by her side. Lu Xin tries to get him to eat something, worried he'll collapse before Li Shuang even wakes up.
During this time, Jin An has a moment of clarity. He admits he will wait for her forever if he has to. He says his love for Li Shuang isn't just about the Jade Exquisite. It's real. He would fall for her over and over again, no matter what.
A Familiar Prank
Eventually, he passes out from exhaustion. When he wakes up, Li Shuang is gone. He panics and runs outside. He finds her standing under a tree, looking perfectly fine. But when he approaches, she acts like she doesn't know him. She seems scared and backs away.
Jin An is stunned. He realizes this is payback. He forgot everything and made her suffer alone. Now it's his turn. But it's all a joke. Li Shuang was just messing with him. She wanted him to feel just a little bit of the heartbreak she went through. They finally, truly reunite.
Three Months Later
A New Beginning for Everyone
We jump forward three months. Everyone has settled into a new, peaceful life.Su Muyang is ruling as a wise emperor, putting new policies in place that he and Li Shuang once dreamed of.
Jin An is now fully merged with the Jade Exquisite. He's both a shadow puppet and a blood master, but he lives as a normal person. Mo Yin isn't even trying to get the Jade Exquisite back. He says it chose Jin An. Lu Xin teases Mo Yin about making her the "lady of Wuling Mountain," and he actually blushes.
Li Ting has joined the Changfeng Army. He has the same fire as his father and sister. Ji Ran now leads the army and, just like Li Shuang, knows every single soldier's name. One day, Li Ting finds a box of pear blossom cakes in his tent. He knows his sister visited.
A Quiet Life
Li Shuang and Jin An have chosen a life away from it all.They are officially "dead" to the world, and they want to keep that peace. They visit Ouyang Jun, who started an orphanage after Qiao'er left. They spend time helping him with the kids.
It's exhausting work. Jin An jokingly complains that the kids get all the attention and he gets none. So, after the children are asleep, Li Shuang sneaks him a kiss. He pulls her away soon after, though. He tells her he’s ready for them to have their own "little troubles."
