The episode opens with Jia Xiaoduo in a state of panic, unable to reach Xu Tian. Her worry intensifies as her calls go unanswered. She rushes to their favorite restaurant, the familiar surroundings sparking a desperate fantasy of phasing through walls to find him. Just as despair sets in, her phone rings – it's Xu Tian. Overjoyed, she answers, and they arrange for him to pick her up. The mutual relief and affection are palpable, filling them both with a sweet happiness.
Meanwhile, a cheerful Xu Tian is at a store, picking out snacks for Jia Xiaoduo. His shopping spree hits a snag at the checkout when his card is declined, leading to an awkward moment. A strange woman waiting behind him is mistaken for his companion by the staff. Xu Tian, flustered, clarifies they aren't together, but the woman brazenly plays along, even offering to get a bag and helping him pick up dropped snacks. Xu Tian's sister, who is also there, sees the large haul of snacks and comments that it's unhealthy, but Xu Tian dotingly explains they are all Jia Xiaoduo's favorites. Intent on making his disinterest in the stranger clear, Xu Tian deliberately keeps his distance and speaks coldly to her. Later, his sister realizes Xu Tian left his phone behind and chases after him to return it. Misunderstanding her intentions—perhaps thinking it's the persistent stranger or simply not recognizing her quickly—Xu Tian speeds off in his car.
Back at the restaurant, Jia Xiaoduo finishes her meal. The owner, seeing she hasn't paid, suspects her of trying to dine and dash and approaches with the bill. A calm Jia Xiaoduo explains her boyfriend will pick her up and pay, then tries calling Xu Tian. Unfortunately, Xu Tian is frantically searching for his missing phone in his car and doesn't answer.
Xu Tian rushes back to the store, only to find his sister has already left with his phone. With closing time approaching, he desperately searches for his sister on the streets. After getting lost at a crossroads, he finally makes it to the restaurant, but narrowly misses both his sister and Jia Xiaoduo. After more searching, he eventually finds Jia Xiaoduo on a footbridge. They make a pact to secretly "hide" and ensure neither of them "goes offline," cherishing their private, sweet moment.
The couple returns home, the atmosphere warm and loving. Jia Xiaoduo spontaneously suggests they move in together, wanting to be inseparable. Xu Tian happily agrees, his eyes filled with joy. While Jia Xiaoduo is in the shower, Xu Tian starts tidying up. He discovers notes in the house that aren't in Jia Xiaoduo's handwriting, raising his suspicions. He asks if someone else lives with her, but Jia Xiaoduo avoids the question and goes to bed. A puzzled Xu Tian ends up sleeping on the sofa. Jia Xiaoduo then brings up the idea of registering their marriage the next day, confessing her fear of losing him and her mixed feelings of anxiety and hope for their future.
The narrative reveals Jia Xiaoduo is deeply immersed in an illusion. Waking within this dream-like state, she joyfully searches for Xu Tian but finds he's not there, though signs indicate he had been present. Frantic, she calls him. Xu Tian answers, promising to return before dawn. However, disaster strikes as their residential complex suddenly collapses. Desperate not to lose Xu Tian again after finally finding him, she rushes towards Zhi Shu Street, hoping to locate him before she awakens from the illusion. Upon her arrival, another collapse occurs, the environment shifting constantly as if trying to force her out. Just as she reaches her breaking point, Xu Tian appears like a hero and whisks her away from the danger.
Xu Tian drives Jia Xiaoduo through the streets as a gentle rain begins to fall. They huddle close, their faces reflecting their deep affection and happiness as they excitedly discuss their future. Gazing lovingly at Jia Xiaoduo, Xu Tian slowly takes out a ring and formally proposes. A blushing Jia Xiaoduo doesn't immediately put on the ring, shyly stating she wants to wait for Monday, a day she considers special and symbolic for such a romantic commitment, making it worth the wait.
