Episode Summary
Gan Yang returns to Putian, while Wang Sen plots against him. Ding Zhitong rejects Wang Sen's advances, longing for Gan Yang. Song Mingmei undergoes chemo, supported by Qin Chang and later by Ding Zhitong. Misunderstandings arise when Gan Yang believes Ding Zhitong is sick. Ding Zhitong decides to pursue Gan Yang after finding his messages.

So, Gan Yang packs his bags and heads back to Putian with Wang Yi, Xu Chenxi, and the crew. Yuan Chao's got faith that Gan Yang will bounce back – he's not one to stay down for long, apparently. But Wang Sen? Not so optimistic. In fact, he's plotting to make sure Gan Yang doesn't make a comeback. Talk about a frenemy!
At the train station, no sign of Ding Zhitong to see them off. Gan Yang says his goodbyes in his head, while Zhitong watches a plane fly overhead, doing the same. Bittersweet, right?
Meanwhile, Song Mingmei starts chemo, with Qin Chang by her side, holding her hand through it all. When she wakes up, she's worried about how she looks to Qin Chang, trying to stay strong despite the chemo's effects. But Qin Chang sees through it and comforts her. These two are seriously goals.
Ding Zhitong gets a promotion, but it's not all sunshine and roses. She gets a paper crane, reminding her of Gan Yang. The promotion was her dream, but she is not happy. While on the bus, she imagines seeing Gan Yang, and a wave of longing hits her. She even revisits their old concert spot, missing him like crazy.
Then, Wang Sen confesses his feelings to Ding Zhitong, but she shuts him down gently. She lays it all out: everything she learned about running, even her coffee habit, it all comes from Gan Yang. He's made her who she is, and she's only ever going to love him. Ouch.
That night, Gan Yang and Ding Zhitong are running in different cities, both thinking about each other. But here's where it gets juicy: Wang Sen, fueled by jealousy, teams up with Shu Chi to take down Langteng. Drama alert!
Zhitong finds out about Gan Yang's situation and calls Song Mingmei, hoping she'll use Mo Qi to promote him. But Mingmei tells her to step up herself. Oh, and BTW, she's got cancer and is undergoing chemo. Zhitong doesn't believe it and rushes to Mingmei's side. Mingmei shows her the medical reports, and Zhitong promises to be there for her no matter what.
Zhitong goes with Mingmei to chemo and secretly sends Gan Yang a photo of the medical report, but with Mingmei's name hidden. Gan Yang thinks Zhitong is the one who's sick and races to the hospital. Surprise! It's Mingmei. Zhitong assures him she's fine, and they share a tender moment, promising to take care of themselves. As Gan Yang leaves, he tells Zhitong he'll be waiting for her. Swoon.
Mingmei encourages Zhitong to let go of the past, saying her mom wouldn't want her to be this way. Zhitong knows it, but she needs more time. Later, Zhitong and Qin Chang wait anxiously during Mingmei's surgery. When they hear it was successful, they're overjoyed.
Coming out of anesthesia, Mingmei tells Qin Chang she's falling for him all over again, and Zhitong can't help but cry.
In the end, Mingmei asks Zhitong to log back into Mo Qi and give her some feedback. Zhitong logs in and finds tons of messages from Gan Yang – videos of his struggles and progress. Remembering Mingmei's words about living without regrets, Zhitong decides it's time to run for Gan Yang.
