Episode Summary
Luo Shanshan's team investigates suspicious electronic components, while Lin Yasheng deals with grief and corporate maneuvering. A bomb plot is uncovered, involving missing parts and 3D printing. Peng Yonghui escapes a close call, and Gao Jianguo is arrested.

"Secret Files of XSA" Episode 14: Recap & Spoilers
Episode 14 kicks off with some serious cat-and-mouse action. Luo Shanshan and the team set up a fake traffic stop, with Peng Yonghui tailing behind Huo Min. Luo Shanshan uses the pretense of a vehicle inspection to get close to Huo Min's car and snap detailed photos of some electronic components.
Meanwhile, Lin Yasheng is drowning his sorrows in booze, completely heartbroken. Bai Keqing finds him at home, where he tearfully confesses that he's grateful to have met her and that she's the only person he trusts in the world. Bai Keqing, feeling guilty about deceiving him, admits to lying to Lin Yasheng, but he doesn't care. He begs her to promise never to leave him. Talk about complicated!
Deputy Mayor Jiang brings Jin Chuan into the fold, indicating that he'll be responsible for the Shoulong Group moving forward. Apparently, the Deputy Mayor has been instrumental in building up the Shoulong Group and Azure No. 1 project, so his opinion carries a lot of weight with the board. Gao Jianguo's face drops when he hears that Jin Chuan has been summoned to the city. He approaches Deputy Mayor Jiang, arguing that while Jin Chuan is technically skilled, he's not the right person to handle management, especially negotiations with the "Shapeng" people, subtly suggesting that he's the better choice.
Back at the hospital, Luo Shanshan is waiting for her mother to come out of surgery. Huo Min brings her coffee, and Luo Shanshan breaks down, admitting that her mother has always been there for her, even though she's been ignoring her. She realizes her mother probably came to the convenience store to tell her about her illness, but she was too caught up in work to even acknowledge her. Huo Min tries to comfort her, saying they're close to catching the culprit. Peng Yonghui, having soldered the electronic components, tells Matt that they only need one more part to complete the assembly.
Customs official Xu tells Luo Shanshan that the electronic components seem ordinary on their own, but when assembled, they form a bomb. It's not a large-scale explosive, but the exact nature depends on the missing piece. Peng Yonghui learns that the part has been seized by customs and immediately alerts Matt, who tells him to ditch that route as a precaution. With the component stuck at customs, Matt suggests 3D printing it, but Peng Yonghui says they need an industrial-grade printer.
Deputy Mayor Jiang and other company executives attend Lin Shoulong's memorial service. In front of everyone, he urges Lin Yasheng to work hard and shakes his hand. Lin Yasheng is surprised to be elected president of the company. Bai Keqing encourages him to fulfill his father's wishes and advises him to back up the company's most important data, so he has something to fall back on if things go wrong. Matt gives the kids in his training class pendants of the Statue of Liberty, symbolizing freedom.
The 3D printing is complete, and Matt sends Peng Yonghui to pick up the goods. The National Security team pinpoints Peng Yonghui's location and follows him into a nightclub. As Peng Yonghui grabs the locker key and prepares to leave, he notices Hu Fei watching him. He sits down, pulls out a gun, and points it at a drunk girl, who assumes it's a toy. Luo Shanshan, worried about the crowded club, tells Hu Fei not to take action and orders Huo Min to retreat.
Outside the club, Hu Fei and Peng Yonghui confront each other at an intersection, guns drawn. Suddenly, a sniper takes aim at Hu Fei from a nearby building. Matt fires two shots, successfully covering Peng Yonghui's escape. Luo Shanshan's team discovers that the delivery person was Gao Jianguo, and after getting approval, they move in to arrest him. Gao Jianguo refuses to talk, so Lu Chen presents him with images from the hard drive he just smashed, revealing that they've recovered the data.
