Spoiler Alert
First off, the whole Song Hao and Li Lefan fake-dating situation got way more complicated. Song Hao calls Li Lefan, telling her his dad's not doing well and really needs to meet his "girlfriend." Since Li Lefan already agreed to the charade, she feels obligated and heads straight to the hospital.
Turns out, Dad is totally charmed by Li Lefan! When he asks her why she fell for his son, Li Lefan ditches the script Song Hao prepped her with. Instead, she gives her real take – saying she finds Song Hao incredibly optimistic, cleverly framing his history of failed business ventures as a sign of his resilience. Dad is genuinely touched, thinking his son hit the jackpot finding someone who sees his struggles as strengths. He feels Song Hao is really lucky.
Meanwhile, Ye Lang accidentally finds out that Xia Wanqing is busy setting up blind dates for Xiao Min. He storms over, ready for a confrontation, but cools down fast when Xia Wanqing explains she's doing it for free, purely to help Xiao Min move past her recent divorce and get back out there. Hearing her good intentions, Ye Lang backs off.
Things get heated at Xiao Min's coffee shop later. She switched suppliers because the last one sent her moldy coffee beans (gross!) and she refused to pay. Well, the old supplier wasn't happy and sent some guys over to cause a scene. Thankfully, Ye Lang shows up right on cue. He throws a few punches, flashes some boxing skills, and manages to intimidate the troublemakers into putting everything back and leaving. Our hero!
Now, for the biggest drama bomb of the episode: Fang Ye and Ma Jie. Fang Ye's male best friend is going through a breakup, so she invites him over to their place for drinks and comfort. Ma Jie walks in on this and is not happy, getting incredibly jealous. After the friend wisely makes himself scarce, Fang Ye and Ma Jie get into a massive argument. Fang Ye drops a stunner: she claims she only married Ma Jie with the intention of having kids and is frustrated that his family treats her like a typical daughter-in-law. Ma Jie is completely thrown – they're legally married, isn't being treated like family... normal? The fight escalates, Fang Ye blurts out "Let's get divorced!" and Ma Jie, initially shocked but seeing she's serious, agrees in anger.
They actually march right down to the agency (Destiny, presumably their matchmaking/consulting place) demanding an immediate divorce and to be set up with new people ASAP. Qin Tianyue witnesses this meltdown and looks utterly defeated. He has to remind them about the mandatory one-month cooling-off period for divorces. Seeing how clueless they are about actual married life (it's not just a contract, guys!), Qin Tianyue decides they need a lesson in partnership. He gives this challenging task to... you guessed it, Xia Wanqing. Good luck, Xia Wanqing!
Back to Song Hao – he approaches Li Lefan again. His dad apparently really misses her and wants another visit. Li Lefan puts her foot down this time, reminding him she's already bending company rules (likely the agency's rules about dating clients or faking relationships). But Song Hao is relentless, even calling his dad right then and there to announce he's "found" Li Lefan. Feeling trapped and exasperated, Li Lefan agrees to go to the hospital again, just to manage the situation.
Plot twist! Cheng Xu witnessed that entire exchange between Song Hao and Li Lefan. He follows them to the hospital and secretly listens in on their conversation from outside the dad's room. Later, as Song Hao is still trying to pressure Li Lefan into daily hospital visits after they leave, Cheng Xu steps in smoothly, running interference and helping Li Lefan get away from the persistent Song Hao. It seems ever since Cheng Xu learned about their "relationship," he's been keeping a suspicious eye on them.
Finally, Ye Lang is clearly not thrilled about Xiao Min going on dates. When Xia Wanqing tries showing Xiao Min profiles of potential matches, Ye Lang keeps finding fault with every single guy. He then declares that he will be the one to screen all future candidates for Xiao Min. Xia Wanqing is left standing there, completely confused by his sudden, very hands-on approach. Hmm, interesting!
So, Episode 30 left us with a marriage potentially dissolving, a fake relationship getting deeper and riskier, a protective friend (or maybe more?), and plenty of misunderstandings brewing. Can't wait to see what happens next!
