Get ready for some major developments at Ju An Daily Chemicals! The episode kicks off with a bang at a company-wide meeting. Chairman Gu Jianhua takes the stage to announce that Zhou Ting has been appointed as the Executive Vice Chairman.
Zhou Ting, looking sharp and confident, gives a heartfelt speech. She emphasizes that while technology and scale are important, the key to Ju An Daily Chemicals' success lies in tradition and innovation. She vows to follow in her father's footsteps and lead the company to even greater heights, asking for the support and trust of her colleagues. The crowd goes wild with applause.
But wait, there's more! Gu Jianhua then drops another bombshell: it's Zhou Ting's wedding day with her son-in-law, Qiu Zeyang! Qiu Zeyang steps forward, declaring that while Zhou Ting treats the company like her life, Zhou Ting is even more important to him. Meanwhile, Cheng Xu is pulling his hair out over a client named Ma Xintian. Ma Xintian is obsessed with her dog, Bawan. She initially came to Cheng Xu to find Bawan a wife, but now she wants to find a partner for herself – with the catch that Bawan has to approve! Cheng Xu has been introducing potential suitors, but Bawan isn't impressed with any of them. Cheng Xu is desperate to close a deal, so he's losing sleep over this.
Xia Wanqing, eager to boost her numbers, reaches out to Lin Kexin, a former client who registered on "Yuexia Qiushen". Xia Wanqing tries to convince Lin Kexin to give matchmaking another shot, but Lin Kexin is exhausted from work and not interested. Elsewhere, Feng Qingming, worried about Cheng Xu's stress, takes him to a pet hospital hoping to find a match for Ma Xintian. Unfortunately, a guy makes a rude comment about dogs, and Ma Xintian gets furious, ending the date on a sour note.
Later that night, Qin Tianyue finds Cheng Xu still at his desk, coding away. He's trying to input Bawan's information into the system, hoping to use a "match-match" algorithm to find a compatible partner for the dog. Qin Tianyue reminds him to focus on Ma Xintian's needs, not just the dog's. This gives Cheng Xu a lightbulb moment, and he dives back into his coding with renewed inspiration.
Lin Kexin, it turns out, is more than just a workaholic. After successfully completing a new project, she gives her team two days off and plans a celebratory dinner. However, some employees can't make it, so the dinner is postponed. Lin Kexin decides to unwind at a bar. A sleazy guy hits on her, assuming she's there looking for a hookup. Lin Kexin shuts him down by throwing her drink in his face and walking away. Maybe this experience gives her a change of heart, because she decides to give Destiny another try and start dating again.
