Alright, so this episode kicks off with our dynamic duo, Lin Zhi Tao and Bai En Yu, getting invited to give a lecture at a local college or vocational school. Right off the bat, Bai En Yu gets a slightly weird vibe, noticing that the girls' uniform pants seem... well, a bit on the short side. The school administration just brushes it off, basically saying, "Hey, as long as they're focused on studying, right?" Uh-huh.
Turns out, there's a nasty rumor mill churning on campus: someone's been secretly filming up girls' skirts. Yikes. The school leadership has been trying to keep a lid on this scandal, but things get messy during Lin Zhi Tao's lecture. Some understandably furious parents show up and publicly pull the school leaders aside, demanding answers and a plan. The administrators are sweating bullets, especially with major examsjust around the corner. They desperately want to sweep this under the rug, but the parents aren't having it.
Seeing the prosecutorsright there, the school leaders cleverlypass the buck, claiming they were just about to consult them. Smooth. Since this whole mess unfolded right in front of her, Lin Zhi Tao naturally steps in to investigate properly.
She starts by talking to the girls who were filmed or had reported it. The problem? While there are apparently lots of photos and videos floating around, none show the victims' faces clearly – it's all back shots or side profiles. Because of the stigma, even girls who recognize their own figures in the pictures are too scared or embarrassed to admit it's them. One brave student who did report it emphasizes that if this isn't handled seriously, more girls will inevitably become victims.
Despite the pressure, the school heads still want to keep things quiet because of the upcoming exams. Some students, however, are fired up and demand the school call the police to get justice for the victims. Lin Zhi Tao tries to keep everyone calm, promising to stick around, give more lectures, and actively work on finding the perpetrator.
Then, drama escalates! Someone rushes in to tell Lin Zhi Tao they've caught a male "peeping tom" in the girls' shower room!
Instantly, a huge crowd of female students swarms the shower room entrance, eager to see who the creep is. Lin Zhi Tao and Bai En Yu push through the growing mob, thinking they've finally cornered their guy. They even start giving the person behind the door a lecture about taking responsibility for their actions. Lin Zhi Tao patiently advises them... and then the door slowly opens.
Plot twist! Standing there, looking utterly bewildered, is the Department Head !
Lin Zhi Tao and Bai En Yu are floored. They pull the flustered Department Headinto an office away from the crowd. His explanation? He shows them a note he received, claiming the real voyeur had just entered the girls' shower room. Eager to catch the culprit red-handed, Hou Zhu Ren rushed in himself, only to get trapped when the crowd formed outside. Yep, he was totally set up.
Once the misunderstanding is cleared up, Hou Zhu Ren proves he wasn't the bad guy – quite the opposite. He hands over a stash of memory cards filled with secretly recorded videos, many featuring girls in the school uniform. He admits he'd been trying to catch the real perpetrator discreetly, without causing panic among the students, especially the seniors facing their big exams.
The investigation continues. The victims shown in the videos are terrified; reporting it could ruin their reputations. Lin Zhi Tao and Bai En Yu come up with a clever plan:
- They have Hou Zhu Ren announce publicly that the prosecutors have left and the investigation is basically over.
- Secretly, they gather the girls who might have some clues in an office.
- They ask these students to carefully recall anything suspicious they might have noticed around the time they suspect they were filmed.
And it works! One girl finally remembers a key detail: it was raining on the day she was secretly recorded.
