The episode kicks off with Mei Chengyi and Xu Kaixin taking their relationship to the next level with a date in a romantic hotel suite. But just as things start heating up, their passion is doused when Chengyi suddenly throws out his back, crying out in agony. Kaixin rushes him to the hospital for treatment.
Worried that Kaixin might get the wrong idea about his "performance," Chengyi quickly clarifies that his injury isn't what she thinks and pleads with her not to revoke his status as her business partner over the incident. The interview is at the Yongshou Memorial Park. Her day gets off to a strange start when she accidentally lets a Shiba Inu run loose. Unfazed, she ends up falling asleep on a sofa in the office. The manager returns to find her sound asleep and can't wake her. When she finally stirs, she finds him playing a video game and immediately notes how bad he is. The two strike up an unexpectedly easy and comical rapport, hinting at a potential new chapter for her.
