Episode Summary
In the final episode, after his last attempt at reconciliation with Xu Kaixin is rejected, Qian Hao secretly plans to abduct their son, Xiaomi, and flee the country. A remorseful Hu Xiaojiao gives Kaixin a USB drive containing evidence of Qian Hao's scheme to steal her house. Meanwhile, Qian Hao makes one final, desperate plea to Kaixin for a reconciliation, arguing that they should reunite for the sake of their children. When Kaixin firmly rejects him and drives away, his demeanor darkens. "Then don't blame me for what I do next," he mutters, before taking their younger son, Xiaomi, to get photos taken at an immigration center, secretly setting his international escape plan in motion.
An Unlikely Ally and a Fatal Mistake
In a surprising twist, a guilt-ridden Hu Xiaojiao arranges to meet Kaixin. Admitting she wants to atone for her past actions, she hands over a USB drive. This drive, she explains, is her penance. Back home, a furious Kaixin discovers the drive contains chat logs between Hu Xiaojiao and Qian Hao from before the divorce. The messages lay out his entire scheme: he had encouraged Xiaojiao to help him fight for the property, orchestrating a plan to swindle his own wife.
Later, as Qian Hao and Hu Xiaojiao finalize their divorce, his carefully constructed image as a shrewd operator shatters completely. He reveals he spent 300,000 yuan to "handle" a supposed blackmail threat against Xiaojiao involving an indecent video. When she sees the "evidence," she's stunned. The video is a clumsy, obvious fake, and she realizes Qian Hao was duped by a low-level scam.
The Airport Takedown
The climax of the episode unfolds with chilling speed. While Kaixin and Dami join her new partner, Mei Chengyi (Han Geng), for a baseball date, she drops Xiaomi off with Qian Hao, as per their custody arrangement. This is the moment Qian Hao has been waiting for. With newly issued visas in hand, he heads straight for the airport, planning to be on a flight out of the country in thirty minutes.
His plan is foiled by an unexpected source: Hu Xiaojiao. Thanks to a shared travel account, she receives a notification of his flight purchase and immediately calls Kaixin in a panic. Mei Chengyi and Kaixin race to the airport, calling the airline en route to report a potential kidnapping.
In Qian Hao's car, a terrified Xiaomi tries to use his phone watch to call for help, but his father stops him. Once at the airport, the boy’s continuous crying and struggles draw the attention of airport staff, who have just heard a broadcast about a missing child. As they intervene, Xiaomi screams, "He's a kidnapper!" Staff quickly restrain Qian Hao and rescue the boy. Moments later, Kaixin and Mei Chengyi arrive, and Kaixin tearfully embraces her son.
A New Day Dawns
With the dust settled, the final pieces of Kaixin's new life fall into place. The court rules that her property must be returned to her. Qian Hao, having lost his money, his lover Qin Sulan, and his freedom, disappears completely.
The series concludes on a note of quiet triumph. Kaixin and Mei Chengyi, having weathered every storm, have successfully blended their two families.Dami and Xiaomi are shown growing closer as siblings. In the final scene, Xu Kaixin stands in the sunlight, a smile spreading across her face, having finally found her own "double happiness" and bloomed into a new life.
