The path to the altar for Liu Jun and Cui Bingbing has been anything but smooth, and this episode throws a series of emotional and logistical challenges their way, testing their bond right up to the very end.

The drama kicks off with a classic misunderstanding. Seeing Liu Jun's car parked outside late at night, Cui Bingbing’s insecurities flare up, assuming he's out living the high life without her. Her friend, Chen Qifan, offers a rather cynical perspective on relationships, suggesting that for men, marriage is often about convenience rather than love, which only fuels Bingbing's anxieties.

Meanwhile, Liu Jun is facing his own battles. While his employees are eager to pursue independent R&D for a new system, Liu Jun is hamstrung by a lack of funds and feels pessimistic about their chances. In a pivotal move, he presents his plan to Song Yunhui, who offers his full support, giving Liu Jun a much-needed boost of hope for his company, Tengfei.

A side story involving Qian Hongming and Fu Qiufang provides a moment of compassion. Qian Hongming, after tracking down Fu Qiufang, realizes she isn't the person he thought she was and decides to help her, even discussing getting her a pension plan with Liu Jun. This act of kindness leads Liu Jun to Bingbing's home, where he tidies up and leaves her some fresh vegetables.

Despite this gesture, their core conflict remains unresolved. A phone call that night quickly devolves into their recurring argument about finances. Bingbing believes in pooling their assets like her parents, but Liu Jun's approach makes her feel as if he thinks she's after his money. When Liu Jun mentions an upcoming business trip, Bingbing misinterprets it as him running away from their problems.

The situation escalates when Liu Jun departs for the Northwest. A failed attempt to message Bingbing before takeoff, combined with terrible signal at his destination, leaves them completely out of touch. Panicked and feeling abandoned, a tearful Bingbing turns to Chen Qifan. However, after her initial distress, she begins to reflect on her own lack of self-confidence and, taking Chen's advice, starts sending Liu Jun daily emails.

Far away on the grasslands, Liu Jun is also missing Bingbing. A conversation with his old classmate, Lao Wang, triggers a moment of self-realization about his own shortcomings. He abruptly cuts his trip short and rushes back to Donghai.

The reunion is a turning point. Liu Jun calls Bingbing the moment he lands, and to his relief, she is overjoyed. Finally ready to move forward, Bingbing agrees to compromise. They quickly set a wedding date and book the Crown Hotel for the ceremony.

The wedding day is a joyous affair. A heavily pregnant Lin Chuan sends her blessings with flower baskets. Liu Jun's father, Liu Shitang, is moved to tears when the couple gifts him a watch. Although Song Yunhui cannot attend, his wife, Liang Sishen, comes in his place, promising a significant wedding gift is on its way. With their friends and family as witnesses, Liu Jun and Cui Bingbing exchange vows and share a kiss, finally united. Watching from a distance, Lin Chuan smiles, happy for them.
