To Get Master Ep. 15 Spoilers: A Test of Trust and a Hidden Legacy
This episode tests the bonds of trust while unearthing a secret that promises to throw the martial arts world into chaos.
Following his abrupt departure, Gu Yuan leaves only a letter for Li Song'er, vaguely stating he has other matters to attend to. Though she puts on a brave face, her heartbreak is evident, especially when she subconsciously orders his favorite dishes. Unbeknownst to her, Gu Yuan is already moving in the shadows, investigating who is trying to frame him.
Meanwhile, Li Song'er's journey is violently interrupted by a pair of vigilantes. Using a clever knockout-drug tactic she learned from Gu Yuan, she buries them up to their necks for an interrogation. The couple confesses they attacked her out of loyalty to Gu Yuan, believing she had betrayed him. They tell a story of how Gu Yuan once saved them after they eloped, cementing their hatred for anyone who breaks trust. Moved by their story and their loyalty, Li Song'er releases them. The encounter strengthens her resolve, making her realize Gu Yuan must have his reasons and solidifying her decision to trust him completely.
Elsewhere, Chu Meng Die returns to a vulnerable Jingyun Mountain Manor. With her father missing and rival sects circling, she masterfully bluffs, creating the illusion that her father is still present to intimidate their enemies. Later, seeking solace, she visits her mother's grave and confesses she has fallen for someone else, making it impossible to honor her old marital engagement.
Her emotional confession leads to a shocking discovery: a hidden compartment in the tombstone opens, revealing the long-lost second volume of the "Xiao Yao Jue." But as soon as she takes the scroll, she is surrounded by Nan Wentian and his followers. Nan Wentian claims he only wants to use the manual's power to unite the martial arts world against the Demonic Cult. For now, Chu Meng Die accepts his words, but the confrontation sets the stage for a major conflict over the powerful artifact.
The episode culminates in a heart-stopping reunion. Gu Yuan, having been alerted that Li Song'er was in danger, rushes to the site of the attack. Seeing the disturbed earth, he mistakenly believes she has been killed and breaks down in tears. Just then, Li Song'er appears, safe and sound. The two share a brief, relieved reunion, their bond deepened by the turmoil and their growing trust in one another.
