To Get Master Episode 17: The Final Unmasking
As the martial arts tournament rushes towards its finale, the undercurrents of conspiracy begin to break the surface. Impatient with the rigid rules, Li Song'er picks a lock to advance, while Baili, guided by a cryptic letter from Nan Wentian, successfully finds the correct key, impressing Chu Meng Die with his hidden cleverness. However, that same letter plants a seed of doubt in Baili's mind about his own master, Gu Yuan, leaving him conflicted.
The competition that follows is a farce. Baili is pushed towards victory in a quiz round where his wrong answers are declared correct by a panel of complicit judges. In a more legitimate match, Gu Yuan fairly bests Li Song'er. Behind the scenes, Nan Wentian conspires with other sect leaders to ensure the naive and easily-controlled Baili becomes the champion, a conversation that Gu Yuan secretly overhears.
The plot thickens when Bai Wuxie poisons Baili's tea. He then sends a message to Chu Meng Die with a cruel ultimatum: if she wants the antidote to save Baili's life, she must deliberately lose their upcoming match.
The path to the final duel is cleared as Gu Yuan, unable to reveal his true, superior abilities, intentionally loses to Chu Meng Die. The final showdown is now set between her and the poisoned Baili. Just before the match, Gu Yuan arranges for Han Yan to escort Li Song'er to safety, preparing to expose the entire scheme.
During the final fight, Baili's poisoning becomes evident. Chu Meng Die, bound by the blackmail, only defends and never attacks. At this critical moment, a masked Gu Yuan leaps into the arena to confront another masked man. A swift, decisive fight ensues, and Gu Yuan exposes his opponent as Nan Wentian, revealing his ambition to seize the legendary "Xiao Yao Jue" martial arts manual for himself.
Gu Yuan then removes his own mask, stunning the crowd with his true identity. He throws the coveted "Xiao Yao Jue" into the center of the arena, its pages scattering across the floor. The assembled martial artists, unable to resist the temptation, scramble to collect the pages, exposing their own greed. With their plan in ruins, Nan Wentian and Bai Wuxie can only watch as Gu Yuan departs. Seeing the truth, Baili concedes the match and proclaims Chu Meng Die the new leader of the martial arts world, a decision met with resounding agreement from the other sects.
