Full Recap

A Jealous Husband's Warning

The episode opens with Gu Yuan's jealousy flaring when he sees Li Song'er meeting privately with Baili. He forcefully carries her away, and though he denies his feelings, he sternly warns her that as a newly married couple, meeting another man in secret is reckless and invites suspicion. Li Song'er explains she was only asking Baili for news about her mother and how he managed to travel to their location. Understanding her homesickness, Gu Yuan softens but reminds her that their current mission is far more critical.

A Secret Ally and a Risky Plan

The delegation from Jingyun Mountain Manor, led by Jing Shu, arrives with the intention of opening the secret chamber containing the coveted Xiao Yao Jue scroll. To test her, Uncle Bai pointedly asks Li Song'er to greet the guests, putting her in a precarious position. However, Chu Meng Die swoops in just in time, signaling to Jing Shu and helping Li Song'er maintain her cover.

Later, Chu Meng Die sneaks into Li Song'er's room with a crucial piece of the puzzle: a unique tri-color bracelet. She explains that this bracelet, when paired with Gu Yuan's jade pendant, is the key to unlocking the chamber. She also reveals a startling suspicion—their bracelets are nearly identical, leading her to believe they might be half-sisters. Li Song'er denies this, and their tense conversation is nearly discovered when one of Zhou Heng's men barges in.

A Fumbled Attempt and a Quick-Witted Lie

When the time comes to open the door, a panicked Li Song'er grabs the wrong bracelet, and the mechanism fails. With everyone watching, disaster seems imminent. However, Jing Shu thinks on his feet, covering for her by claiming there are two bracelets—one real, one fake—to mislead their enemies. He lies and says his purpose for coming was to deliver the authentic one. Pressured by Uncle Bai to produce it immediately, Li Song'er is at a loss, as she doesn't know where Chu Meng Die has gone. Gu Yuan steps in, buying her one more day to retrieve the "real" bracelet.

House Arrest and a Devious Test

To protect her from further scrutiny and prevent her identity from being exposed, Gu Yuan places Li Song'er under house arrest. However, he also uses the opportunity to test her. He has Liu Yingying forge a note in Chu Meng Die's handwriting and slips it under her door. Believing the note is real, Li Song'er tries to contact someone she calls "Brother Lin" using a listening tube, but gets no reply. When she peeks out the window, she spots Gu Yuan and quickly retreats. Having overheard the name, Gu Yuan deduces that "Lin Pi" must be a member of Jingyun Mountain Manor and sets off to find him, unaware that he is looking for Chu Meng Die in disguise.

The Scroll is Stolen

Realizing Li Song'er is confined, Chu Meng Die devises a plan. The next day, under the guise of delivering a meal, she successfully passes the real bracelet to Li Song'er. With the correct bracelet and Gu Yuan's jade pendant, the door to the secret chamber finally opens. But just as they are about to secure their prize, a masked figure ambushes them, snatches the Xiao Yao Jue scroll, and vanishes after vowing to master its techniques and unleash a bloodbath upon the six major sects. The sudden heist throws everything into chaos, setting the stage for a desperate manhunt.
