The episode opens with troops formally deploying for a major training exercise. At the center of the action is Wu Si, whose special operations team is designated as the "sharp knife" for a critical mission: secretly infiltrating an island to carry out a "decapitation strike" against the Blue Army's command structure.
Back home, personal lives continue to unfold. Tang Xin shares the joyful news of Wu Si's marriage proposal with her mother, leading to a tearful, heartfelt moment as they reminisce. Elsewhere, Han Yuhang officially takes over his family's corporation and immediately begins restructuring. His professional focus, however, doesn't stop him from pursuing Tang Xin. As her birthday approaches, he calls with an offer to celebrate, but Tang Xin bluntly refuses, determined not to give him any false hope. Meanwhile, Lan Yangyang begins her new career in the anesthesiology department at the hospital.
The military exercise kicks off with Wu Si and his team successfully landing on the island. They quickly engage and eliminate a Blue Army patrol. However, despite their caution, their presence is detected by the enemy, a critical fact that Wu Si is initially unaware of. It's only by observing the Blue Army's deployments that he deduces his team has been exposed and a large-scale search is underway.
Forced to adapt, Wu Si abandons the stealth mission and switches to a combat footing. His team masterfully ambushes and annihilates one of the Blue Army's search parties. As night falls, they press their advantage, using the darkness to infiltrate the main enemy encampment. Their plan is to don Blue Army uniforms, blend in, and locate the commander's tent to complete their objective.
But the Blue Army is one step ahead. Anticipating their infiltration, the commander has laid an inescapable trap. Just as Wu Si and his men are about to make their move on the command tent, they are ambushed and captured.
While Wu Si is now a prisoner, the Blue Army realizes that not all of his special forces members have been caught. Anxious, the commander orders all available units to conduct a comprehensive search for the remaining operators.
The story then shifts back to the home front on the weekend of Tang Xin's birthday. She calls Lan Yangyang to make plans and, upon learning about a social event for military wives, decides to tag along. As newcomers, the two naturally draw attention. When asked, Tang Xin reflects on the difficulties inherent in military marriages, drawing from the painful experiences she witnessed between her own mother and father.
