Episode Summary
In this episode, the captive "Twelve Golden Hairpins" are rescued in a raid. At a press conference, Gao Ying publicly exposes Gao Susheng and Zhao Jin's crimes with damning evidence and witness testimonies. The event descends into a bloody shootout, causing multiple casualties, including the heroic sacrifice of Tang Zhenyun. Gao Susheng escapes but is abandoned by his ally, only to be confronted by a determined Gao Ying at his hideout.

"Rosefinch" Episode 29: The Reckoning
As dawn breaks, the decisive action begins. Guided by Xia Yingqi, a team led by Xia Mo and Tang Zhenyun, along with A Hu, storms the location where the captive young women are being held. A fierce gunfight erupts, but the rescue team quickly gains the upper hand, subduing the captors. Seeing his defeat, Liu Er'tiao surrenders without a fight. The "Twelve Golden Hairpins" are finally safe.
Meanwhile, a different kind of battle is set to unfold at a press conference. Gao Ying appears to be cooperating with Gao Susheng, but it's all a ruse. She is secretly working with Yang Zezhi and Zhang Zhiqiu to spring a trap.Shen Lian, seeing Gao Susheng's apparent return to power, apologizes for his past actions. Gao Susheng pretends to be magnanimous, but he is already plotting his revenge.
When Gao Ying notices that Zhao Jin is not in the audience, she knows she has to act. She takes the stage herself and, at the critical moment, publicly exposes the horrific crimes of Gao Susheng and Zhao Jin. She accuses them of using the "New Zhabei Plan" to steal assets from the public and of the brutal abuse and murder of women.Gao Susheng vehemently denies everything, but his denials crumble as, with Gao Ying's encouragement, the rescued women step forward one by one to testify against him. Xia Mo and Tang Zhenyun also provide their own witness accounts.
The final nails in the coffin are a projected video of the atrocities and a secret audio recording that serve as irrefutable proof.One of the henchmen tries to detonate explosives to destroy the entire venue, but Gao Ying shoots him down just in time. In the confusion, Cao Yin dies while providing cover for Gao Susheng's escape.
Now a fugitive, Gao Susheng makes a desperate call to Zhao Jin for help, but his supposed ally turns his back on him. With nowhere else to go, Gao Susheng flees to the Qingzhu Gang for refuge. Elsewhere, Zhao Jin offers Sun Mei her freedom, but Sun Mei, lost and uncertain about the future, puts the collar back around her own neck, a symbol of her unwavering loyalty to him.
Just as Gao Susheng orders his men to deal with Gao Ying, she makes a stunning entrance, appearing right in the doorway.
