Spoiler Alert
Han Li finds Nangong Wan unconscious and vows to protect her. However, before he can act, her "Reincarnation True Art" activates in her sleep and creates a backlash against him. She clings to him, and Han Li realizes his spiritual energy is being drained away. He struggles to break free but is completely overpowered. Even his Five Elements Formation is useless as she holds him down. Bitten and drained, he resigns himself to his fate, considering it a repayment for a past encounter.
The next day, Nangong Wan awakens to find herself sleeping beside a powerless Han Li. Realizing she is the cause of his condition, her first instinct is to flee to avoid embarrassment. However, guilt makes her stay, though she morbidly considers that if word of this ever gets out, she can simply kill him later to silence him.
Meanwhile, Han Li drifts into a dream and meets his master, Li Huayuan. His master teases him about his pathetic state and warns him he might never find a partner. Han Li retorts that his master never found one either. Han Li then asks what is more important than life itself. Li Huayuan explains that there is no single answer; each person's path of cultivation is their own, and they must define it for themselves while remembering their origins and initial purpose. Urging Han Li to return to the world of the living, Li Huayuan vanishes, his voice echoing that he wants Han Li to see the world's beauty in his stead.
Han Li wakes up to find his spiritual power gone. He confronts Nangong Wan, who lies and claims to be Nangong Wan's younger sister, "Nangong Ping." She audaciously blames the incident on karma from Han Li's past dealings with her "sister." Han Li, surprisingly, accepts her reasoning but laments his lost cultivation, wondering how long it will take to recover.
They end up sleeping for several more days. When Han Li wakes up from hunger, he finds the cave empty of food. To his surprise, Nangong Wan produces a full set of cooking utensils, revealing herself to be the rumored "great god" who always carries pots and pans. While cooking, Han Li realizes that although his cultivation has dropped to the Qi Refining stage, it has merged with his true qi, a strange blessing in disguise. Nangong Wan, impressed by his cooking, asks about his future plans.
Still believing she is not the real Nangong Wan, Han Li conceals his knowledge of a secret transportation array. To make amends, she offers him a choice: a large sum of spirit stones or safe passage to the Masked Moon Sect.He chooses the spirit stones. Just as he is about to leave, she insists he first help her kill some Demonic Dao cultivators.
After they leave the cave, the vengeful Wang Chan arrives with his men. Finding the cold ashes of their fire, he realizes he has missed them. His subordinate suggests Dong Xuan'er might have helped them, which leads Wang Chan to the shocking realization that the mysterious man in black was Han Li. Enraged at the involvement of the Masked Moon Sect, he smashes everything in the cave and orders his men to find them at any cost.
Han Li proceeds to a mine and activates an ancient transportation array.Wang Chan and his forces arrive just in time to see it.A chaotic battle ensues. Han Li brings his puppet, Qu Hun, into the formation to protect it while he fends off the attackers. Wang Chan, determined to prevent his escape, orders his men to destroy the array.Han Li realizes the formation is failing due to a lack of spirit stones. He desperately gathers fallen stones to power it up again. Seeing his chance, Wang Chan flies in for the killing blow.
However, just as Wang Chan attacks, Han Li successfully activates the teleportation. In a final mental confrontation, Han Li triumphs over his rival. As he vanishes, he vows to Wang Chan that their score is not settled and that he will return.
A brilliant beam of light shoots into the sky, seen by Nangong Wan, Chen Qiaoqian, and others, who all smile with relief. Elsewhere, Wangyu looks up at the beam and tells his "old gambler dog" in the heavens that his disciple has ascended.
The episode concludes with Han Li materializing on a cliffside by a river at sunrise. He sits up, takes in the view, and marvels at the beautiful scenery of this new world.
