Spoiler Alert

The Master's "Betrayal"

The episode kicks off with Yang Qing finding a mark on his master, Feng Xingyun. He realizes Feng Xingyun is working with the evil Biluo Valley. The news crushes him. Feng Xingyun seems ashamed to be caught by his own student. He doesn't explain himself. He just scolds Yang Qing for his relationship with Wang Yue and then leaves. It's a rough start.

A Desperate Plea for the Blades

Yuan Yingxing goes to Wang Yue with a heavy request. He needs the Sun Blade and the Moon Blade to save Yao Fu's life. Wang Yue doesn't trust it. She's sure Yao Fu is playing them and will betray the Sheng Yue Cult again. But Yuan Yingxing is desperate and won't take no for an answer. Wang Yue finally gives in and hands over the Sun Blade.

A Confession and a Rejection

Yuan Yingxing takes both blades to Yao Fu. She's clearly moved by the gesture but can't seem to explain her past actions. Later, she tries to get close to him while he's bathing. He completely shuts her down. He accuses her of only wanting the blades, not him. He believes her love isn't real. In response, Yao Fu confesses that her feelings for him are genuine.

The Big Escape and a Twist

Lu Xuanxuan pays a visit to Yang Qing, who is locked up. She tries to get him back, but he's completely focused on Wang Yue. This makes Lu Xuanxuan furious. She tells him they are about to attack the Sheng Yue Cult. She even promises to bring him Wang Yue's head.

Just in time, Elder Wang breaks Yang Qing out of his cell. He urges Yang Qing to stop the coming battle. He also drops a major piece of information. The founder of their sect used the Sun and Moon Blades to control anyone who practiced the Liuhe Divine Art. Their escape is cut short by the Valley Master. The two of them are no match for him.

Then, in a surprise move, Feng Xingyun shows up. He saves Yang Qing and gives him a scroll. It contains the secret to defeating the Liuhe Divine Art. We learn that Feng Xingyun's betrayal was a fake-out. He only pretended to join the Valley Master to discover his weakness.

The Final Showdown

Everything comes to a head as the sects gather for war.

The Big Accusation

The Valley Master calls all the sects together. He announces that Yang Qing murdered his own master, Feng Xingyun. A lot of people don't buy it, especially the disciples from the Cloud Sect. The Valley Master uses his power to shut down the arguments. He then leads the united sects to destroy the Sheng Yue Cult.

The Truth Comes Out

At the gates of the Sheng Yue Cult, Yang Qing and Yuan Yingxing meet the attackers. Murong Xuan steps forward and exposes the Valley Master. He tells everyone that the Valley Master has been practicing a forbidden, evil power. He explains that this power leaves a specific mark on the body. Murong Xuan challenges the Valley Master to take off his robes and prove his innocence. The Valley Master refuses, saying it's beneath his dignity, and then attacks Murong Xuan. His attempt to command the other sects as the Alliance Leader fails. The different groups start fighting among themselves.

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Yang Qing engages the Valley Master in a one-on-one fight. The leaders of three other sects see the truth and join him. They realize they need the Sun and Moon Blades to break through the Valley Master's dark energy. The problem is, Yao Fu still needs the blades to survive. Yuan Yingxing can't bring himself to take them from her. He goes into battle without them.

Wang Yue learns that Yuan Yingxing is fighting without the blades. She goes directly to Yao Fu and explains the entire situation. Yao Fu makes a choice. She gives the blades to Wang Yue.

Wang Yue gets the blades to Yang Qing. With their combined power, he finally kills the Valley Master. The war is over.

A Wedding and a New Beginning

Yang Qing is named the new Alliance Leader. His first act is to declare peace between the martial arts world and the Sheng Yue Cult. Wang Yue gets mad for a second when it seems like Yang Qing is leaving her behind to take his new post, and she threatens to run off. Her friend Ling Yin talks her down. Ling Yin mentions that she and Ming Yang are also planning to leave and travel.

The story ends with a wedding. Yang Qing and Wang Yue are married in the main hall of the Sheng Yue Cult. All the leaders of the major sects are there. Unlike the tense, conspiracy-filled wedding of Yuan Yingxing and Yao Fu, this one is full of genuine happiness. The bride and groom are truly in love, and there are no hidden plans.
