Episode Summary
Qin Yeyun visits Ying Tao, revealing she has a new boyfriend and is no longer focused on Yu Qiao. Meanwhile, Yu Qiao confirms Ying Tao's plan to find Jiang Qiaoxi in Hong Kong and decides to go there first. He successfully locates a despondent Jiang Qiaoxi, who is hiding out of shame, and confronts him for abandoning his friends.

Qin Yeyun pays a surprise visit to Ying Tao at her university, and the two are overjoyed to see each other. Yeyun, who has grown even more beautiful since starting college, turns heads as Ying Tao treats her to a meal at the school cafeteria. Convinced that Yeyun's visit is also a chance to see Yu Qiao, Ying Tao offers to call him so they can all eat together, but Yeyun turns her down.
Later, Yeyun takes Ying Tao along to a wholesale market to source clothing for the online shop she has started. Working together, they manage to negotiate a great price for the items. As they celebrate with drinks, Ying Tao presses Yeyun about why she didn't want to see Yu Qiao. Yeyun reveals a surprising reason: she has a new boyfriend. She explains to a shocked Ying Tao that she met him through her online business; he offered his help, and their relationship developed from there. She insists it's nothing major, just a normal part of life, which is why she hadn't mentioned it before.
By coincidence, Yu Qiao contacts Ying Tao, asking to meet her at the school gate to give her something. Ying Tao initially plans to drop Yeyun off at her hotel first, as she has a lot of merchandise to carry, but Yeyun insists she can manage on her own and suggests Ying Tao join her at the hotel later that night so they can talk more. When Ying Tao meets Yu Qiao, he gives her a rabbit-shaped cake. He subtly questions her about her savings, confirming his suspicion that she is planning to go to Hong Kong over the summer break to find Jiang Qiaoxi. This strengthens his resolve to get there first.
In another twist of fate, Yeyun passes a bakery and buys the exact same rabbit cake. Later that evening at the hotel, as they unbox their cakes, Ying Tao is amazed by the coincidence, remarking on the "tacit understanding" Yeyun and Yu Qiao seem to share. She then swaps cakes with Yeyun, giving her the one from Yu Qiao.
Meanwhile, Yu Qiao has been busy. He successfully contacts one of Jiang Qiaoxi's students in Hong Kong and, after proving his identity, earns her trust. The student's parents had forbidden her from sharing Jiang Qiaoxi's whereabouts, but she decides to help, hoping that seeing a friend will lift his spirits. Following the address she provides, Yu Qiao secretly travels to Hong Kong and finds Jiang Qiaoxi in a run-down residential building.
Jiang Qiaoxi is tanned and in the middle of a card game. He dismisses his companions to speak with Yu Qiao alone. Yu Qiao confronts him, angry about how his sudden disappearance has hurt everyone, especially Ying Tao. Jiang Qiaoxi confesses that he is too ashamed to face Ying Tao and is afraid to even turn on his phone in case she calls. He admits that he only dares to switch it on around four or five in the morning to read the messages she has sent him. Yu Qiao, furious, points out that Jiang Qiaoxi is physically unharmed and has no excuse for hiding from the people who care about him.
