Episode Summary
In this episode, Jiang Qiaoxi makes a surprise return to Hongyang for good, and he and Ying Tao begin their life together. While their relationship deepens, Jiang Qiaoxi faces ethical dilemmas at his new job and forgets an important date, leading to a brief conflict. Meanwhile, after a scare involving his job as a pilot, Yu Qiao and Qin Yeyun finally confess their feelings for each other. Qin Yeyun's online store is thriving, and her father, Uncle Qin, has cheerfully taken on the role of her dedicated customer service representative. One day, while browsing through Qin Yeyun's chat history with Ying Tao, Uncle Qin and Aunt Shuangyan come across a sweet photo of Ying Tao and Jiang Qiaoxi. Overjoyed to see the young couple finally together after so many challenges, they send their heartfelt blessings. When Aunt Shuangyan asks Qin Yeyun about her own romantic plans, she playfully reveals that she's not interested in dating right now. Her main goal is to earn enough money to buy a car so she can drive her friends and family around, making sure to mention that Yu Qiao is on her "passenger list."
Meanwhile, Ying Tao is busy preparing her materials for a graduation internship. She instinctively reaches out to share her progress with Jiang Qiaoxi, only to find him offline—a first since they reconnected. A wave of panic hits her as she fears he might disappear again. She quickly calls him, and to her relief, he answers. Jiang Qiaoxi explains he was just busy and asks what she wants to see most. "You, of course!" she replies without hesitation. He tells her to go to her balcony. Filled with surprise and joy, Ying Tao rushes outside to see the familiar figure of Jiang Qiaoxi standing downstairs, smiling warmly up at her.
It turns out Jiang Qiaoxi finished his studies at Hong Kong University ahead of schedule and has already secured a job at a financial firm in Hongyang. He's back to stay for good. Hearing this, Ying Tao is moved to tears. The two soon move into a cozy new apartment, starting their life together. Ying Tao becomes a beloved elementary school teacher, winning over the children with her patience and sincerity. Jiang Qiaoxi remains as devoted as ever, always making her a special breakfast no matter how busy he is. However, on the day they are supposed to look at wedding venues, he receives an urgent call from his company about several major projects and has to rush off.
Qin Yeyun accompanies Ying Tao to check out wedding venues instead. She teases Ying Tao, jokingly asking if she's worried Jiang Qiaoxi might fall for someone else. Ying Tao dismisses the idea completely, confident that his dedication in making her breakfast every morning is proof of his love. Qin Yeyun playfully retorts, "What if he's coming home late because he's making dinner for someone else?" causing Ying Tao to laugh and chase after her. Elsewhere, Jiang Qiaoxi meets with his old classmate, Fei Linge, to discuss an online game project they are collaborating on. Jiang Qiaoxi warns him to be careful with the contract, but Fei Linge brushes it off. Their boss, while keen on the project, has hidden a clause in the contract to claim all the profits for himself. When Jiang Qiaoxi raises objections, his boss dismisses him as not being "seasoned" enough.
When Jiang Qiaoxi returns home, he finds Ying Tao looking upset but doesn't know why. Just then, a bouquet of flowers he had pre-ordered arrives. He seizes the moment and presents her with a proposal ring, hoping to cheer her up. However, Ying Tao remains downcast. She has to remind him that he completely forgot they were supposed to look at wedding venues that day.
Suddenly, a news report announces an accident involving the airline Yu Qiao works for; his plane collided with a bird. Qin Yeyun is horrified when she sees the news. After Yu Qiao returns to Hongyang, their group of friends gathers for a meal. Still shaken, Qin Yeyun circles him several times to make sure he's truly unharmed before she can finally relax. At Jiang Qiaoxi's suggestion, the group goes to set off fireworks in the countryside, where Yu Qiao gives Jiang Qiaoxi a letter Ying Tao wrote to him many years ago.
Later, Qin Yeyun musters the courage to confess her feelings to Yu Qiao, who comes to understand the depth of her affection.
With his own parents divorced and living abroad with little contact, Jiang Qiaoxi takes Ying Tao to meet her parents, formally serving them tea and addressing them as his own. Just before a major stock market crash, Jiang Qiaoxi astutely sells all his shares and resigns from his job, successfully avoiding the crisis. After all the preparations are complete, the two finally get married. Dressed in a beautiful white gown, Ying Tao runs towards Jiang Qiaoxi, and they share a deep, loving embrace.
