With his creative block finally broken, Lu Li is overjoyed to be able to pick up a paintbrush again. His happiness is compounded when he hears a familiar voice call his name—it's Qin Yuebai. In that moment, he feels like he has everything he's ever lost back: his career and his love. Overcome with emotion, Lu Li kisses her. He then takes her to the seaside, where their friend Wang Ji-ye has secretly arranged a romantic fireworks display. Amidst the dazzling lights, Lu Li and Qin Yuebai share a passionate kiss.
Later that night, neither can bear to be apart. In a classic romantic mix-up, Lu Li drives to Qin Yuebai's home just as she is driving to his. After missing each other, Lu Li returns to his art gallery to find Qin Yuebai waiting for him. The couple shares an intimate and playful moment, with Qin Yuebai, an artist herself, deciding to use Lu Li's body as her canvas.
The episode also sheds light on Qin Yuebai's corporate battle. She had previously made a deal with her father: if she could get Lu Li to start painting again, she would earn a seat on the board of directors. Her stepmother, Wang Yayin, had banked on Lu Li's condition being long-term, but the plan backfired spectacularly. Not only does Qin Yuebai avoid a demotion, but she also successfully joins the board.
Undeterred, Wang Yayin tries another dirty trick, bribing a painter to slander the gallery and Qin Yuebai. However, her scheme unravels when the painter, who had already terminated his contract with the gallery, gets cold feet. Fearing legal repercussions and hoping to salvage his professional relationship with the gallery, he publicly confesses that Wang Yayin instigated the whole affair.
Armed with a recording of the painter's confession, Qin Yuebai confronts her stepmother. When her father, Su Shilun, learns of the plot, he is furious.
Triumphant and relieved, Qin Yuebai rushes to celebrate with Lu Li. At the gallery, he unveils a surprise for her: a beautiful apple tree installation he designed. Beneath the tree's lush green leaves and tempting red apples, the two share a romantic dance. Qin Yuebai feels certain she has found her lasting happiness, completely unaware that the sunlit boy before her is still hiding secrets of his own.
