The world Qin Yuebai carefully built comes crashing down when her gallery is forcibly taken over by Sun Yiming. In her moment of shock, Lu Li is right by her side, promising to get to the bottom of it. Yuebai trusts him completely, having come to see him as the most important person in her life. But shortly after Lu Li leaves, Tang Bei pays her a visit. With a smug look, he warns her not to always focus on outside enemies, but to also pay attention to the person she shares her pillow with.
Though Yuebai initially dismisses Tang Bei as a treacherous person trying to sabotage her relationship with Lu Li, a photograph he leaves behind plants a seed of doubt. The photo shows Lu Li and Sun Yiming deep in conversation, appearing to be plotting something together. This is a shocking contradiction to Lu Li’s earlier claim that he had never met Sun Yiming. The lie is undeniable.
This revelation sends Yuebai down a rabbit hole. Remembering that Sun Yiming's information is in the company database, she checks the access logs. Her heart sinks as she discovers that Lu Li used a moment of her inattention to secretly access the company's private network and steal trade secrets. The moments she helped him with his panic disorder, the times they painted and kissed together—what did it all mean? Her search leads her to a hidden darkroom she never knew existed. Inside, the true extent of Lu Li's deception is laid bare. The walls are covered with photos of her father, Su Shilun, as well as Wang Yayin, Bao Yan, and herself. There are also detailed charts of the gallery's entire corporate structure, its members, their social circles, and their business responsibilities. It looks like a detective's investigation board. Carefully cut newspaper clippings prove that this was not a recent scheme, but a revenge plot that Lu Li has been meticulously planning for years.
Just then, Lu Li finds her. Faced with Yuebai's tearful questions, he admits everything. He confirms that it was all his design. For Yuebai, the betrayal is absolute and unbearable.
