"The Narcotic Operation" Episode 27 Spoilers

The episode kicks off with Zhou Shaoxiong's ruthless scheme to frame Yang Libing for the murder of Yun Anna. To make the setup convincing, he eliminates Yang Libing's entire family. However, he spares Yang's fourth wife, Ma Yingzi, and her son, after she begs for their lives. In return, Zhou Shaoxiong forces her to spy on Lu Shaohua.

Lu Shaohua and Ma Yingzi, finding themselves in similar desperate situations, develop a bond that blossoms into love. Lu Shaohua devises a plan for their escape, instructing Ma Yingzi to secretly contact a major drug lord from Fen'ang Country, known as Brother K, during a grocery run. To lower Zhou Shaoxiong's suspicions while they wait for Brother K's help, Lu Shaohua proposes marriage to Ma Yingzi.

Zhou Shaoxiong, believing he has them under control, throws a lavish wedding for the couple, even bringing Ma Yingzi's son to the ceremony as a clear threat. Meanwhile, investigator Lin Qiangfeng receives good news that his colleague Wang Hui has finally awoken from a long coma. He and his partner, Li An, have already uncovered the truth behind Yun Anna's death and have informed Yun Ding'en. They are now waiting for the opportune moment when Yun Ding'en confronts Zhou Shaoxiong to move in and capture Lu Shaohua.

The wedding ceremony is interrupted by the dramatic arrival of Brother K, whose real name is Xie Guohao. He's come to collect Lu Shaohua, stunning Zhou Shaoxiong, who had a deal to hand Lu over in three months. Zhou's excuses about the wedding and Lu not wanting to leave fall on deaf ears as Xie Guohao, backed by his men who have already neutralized Zhou's forces, prepares to leave with Lu.

Just as they are about to depart, Yun Ding'en arrives with his own men. He allows Xie Guohao to go but insists Lu Shaohua must stay, intending to hand him over to Minister Wu Juetun. When Zhou Shaoxiong tries to intervene, Yun Ding'en shoots him and publicly exposes his crimes: murdering Yun Anna, framing Yang Libing, and forcing Mo Kang to take the fall. Amid the chaos, Lu Shaohua tells Xie Guohao to go on ahead and arranges for his men to take Ma Yingzi and her son to safety. As police sirens wail in the distance, Lu Shaohua detonates nearby oil barrels, using the ensuing panic to escape once again.

Later, Lin Qiangfeng visits the grave of Li Baichuan, a hero who spent seven years as an undercover agent in the Wanbei drug cartel. Lin recounts the tragic story of how Li Baichuan, realizing his cover was blown by a trafficker named Long Ge, committed suicide with Lin's own gun to protect his mission. The failure to capture Long Ge still haunts Lin Qiangfeng.

The investigation takes a strange turn when charred remains found at the scene are identified as Lu Shaohua's. Despite Lin Qiangfeng's strong doubts, the DNA evidence, confirmed against a sample from Lu's son, is undeniable. The official manhunt for Lu Shaohua is called off.

Two years pass. In the city of Xinzhou, a police raid uncovers a staggering 12 tons of methamphetamine. This isn't just any drug; it's a new, highly pure formula made without ephedrine. The discovery launches a massive new investigation, pulling Lin Qiangfeng and his team back into the fight.
