Episode Summary
In the series finale, Jiang Huanqiu is exposed as the mastermind behind the Fang family's turmoil. After being arrested and then bailed out as part of a ploy by Lin Cheng and Gao Shen, her web of deceit unravels. She is revealed to have manipulated the family for decades out of a misplaced sense of revenge for her husband's death. The final confrontation leads to the truth about multiple deaths being exposed, including the fact that Fang Yangtian's first wife caused the accident that killed Fang Yanghao. With the real story revealed, Jiang Huanqiu and her accomplices are arrested, and the Fang family finally finds peace.

The Grand Finale: It Was Always Her
Well, it's over. The entire saga of the Fang family's inheritance, backstabbing, and secrets has come to a close. And let me tell you, the finale went exactly where it needed to go. The person pulling the strings was the one we were meant to suspect all along. No last-minute twists, just a satisfying and brutal unraveling of a lifelong grudge.
The Walls Close In on Huanqiu
The episode kicks off right where the family drama left off. The Fangs are celebrating their win over the will, but their party is short-lived. The police show up and haul Jiang Huanqiu away.
At the station, they don't mess around. They ask her why Lin Cheng pointed the finger at her. They bring up a phone call she made to Lin Cheng right before meeting with Old Mrs. Fang. She told Lin Cheng to compromise, but in her version of the story, she claims she was telling her to forgive the old lady. Jiang Huanqiu tries to play innocent, but the cops have a recording of Fang Xueli threatening Lin Yao. Her fingerprints are all over the recorder. The police basically tell her they know she was setting him up, not helping him. She keeps her cool, but you can see the panic setting in.
Meanwhile, Lin Cheng is in the cell next door, putting all the pieces together. She realizes Jiang Huanqiu has always been in love with Fang Yangtian. But Fang Yangtian loved Lin Cheng. This made Jiang Huanqiu the secret villain, pretending to be a peacemaker while actually stirring the pot to tear the family apart.
Unraveling the Lies
Fang Zhijun is furious. She storms over to Gao Shen's place, convinced he and Lin Cheng framed her mother. Gao Shen just hands her a copy of the will. She reads it and is stunned. The main person who benefits is her own mother, Jiang Huanqiu, not the three Fang sons.
The confessions just keep coming. Fang Xueqin bumps into the family's old nanny, Rong Yi. The nanny is a wreck. She admits she lied years ago about Fang Xuexian's mother's suicide. The woman didn't kill herself over Fang Yangtian. She was having an affair with someone else. Fang Yangtian hid the real suicide note to protect the family's reputation. Rong Yi says she lied to get a job for her son, and the guilt has been eating her alive. Fang Xuexian is crushed by the news.
The Final, Ugly Truth
This is where it gets dark. Dong Youwei is being held in some grim room, getting his teeth pulled out one by one. Ye Meixia is forced to watch. The torturer tells her if she doesn't spill the truth about Jiang Huanqiu, Dong Youwei gets more of the same.
Gao Shen manages to bail Jiang Huanqiu out. He tells her the whole thing with burning the will was a setup by Lin Cheng. It was designed to make her feel safe and get careless. It worked.
She goes home to the three Fang sons. They have a recording from Gao Shen where she admits the Fangs are getting what they deserve. They demand she give up her executor status. She completely loses it, tearing up the document. The stress of the fight almost causes Kwong Shan Tsuen to have a miscarriage.
Later that night, Zhijun begs her mom to just give it up and live off the inheritance they'll get. But Jiang Huanqiu is too far gone. She slips up and says it's all about getting revenge and taking back what's hers. She drags Zhijun out to meet someone. Gao Shen, who was listening through a bug on Zhijun's phone, tries to follow. But Jiang Huanqiu finds the bug, smashes the phone, and they disappear.
Lin Cheng and Gao Shen eventually track them down. Zhijun walks in to see the tortured Dong Youwei. She finally understands her mother is a monster. Under more torture, Dong Youwei confesses everything. His sister had an affair with Fang Yanghao, got dumped, and he killed Fang Yanghao in a "car accident" for revenge.
Lin Cheng then plays her final card. She has a video of Old Mrs. Fang falling from the building. It clearly shows Jiang Huanqiu was there. A fight breaks out. Dong Youwei grabs Zhijun as a hostage and accidentally wounds her. In the chaos, Jiang Huanqiu almost falls from the building, but Lin Cheng grabs her arm and saves her.
The Aftermath
With Zhijun in the hospital, the Fang family finally comes together, all willing to donate blood to save her.
At the police station, Lin Cheng delivers the final blow. She gives Jiang Huanqiu the real suicide note from Fang Yangtian's first wife. The note confesses that she was the one having an affair with Fang Yanghao. When he dumped her, she caused the car accident that killed him and then took her own life. Fang Yangtian hid the truth all these years to protect his brother's honor and to protect Jiang Huanqiu from the truth.
Realizing her entire life's vendetta was based on a lie, Jiang Huanqiu completely breaks down. She, Dong Youwei, and Kwong Wai Leung are all arrested.
The Fang family is finally at peace. They accept Lin Cheng, and Fang Xuexian starts dating Gao Jing. In the end, Lin Cheng sits alone in the fish ball shop where she first met Fang Yangtian. She looks at a photo of them, finally able to let go.
