Episode Summary
Jiang Huanqiu reveals her cruel side by torturing people for information. Lin Cheng's grief pushes her to frame Fang Xueli and orchestrate a kidnapping to force an apology from the Fang family. This backfires when Jiang Huanqiu manipulates a meeting between Lin Cheng and Old Mrs. Fang, resulting in the matriarch's fall and Lin Cheng's arrest. With Lin Cheng framed, Jiang Huanqiu and Kwong Wai Leung destroy the remaining evidence against them and conspire to steal the entire Fang family fortune.

Jiang Huanqiu Shows Her True Colors
The episode kicks off in a pretty dark place. Jiang Huanqiu has Dong Youwei and Ye Meixia tied to chairs in some abandoned building. She wants to know if the Fang family was involved in her husband's death. Dong Youwei refuses to talk. So, she grabs a pair of pliers to get the answers she wants. It's a brutal start and shows she is not playing around anymore.
Lin Cheng's Desperate Moves
Lin Cheng is still reeling from her brother's death. She finds Fang Xueli and starts provoking him. She gets in his face and then pretends he hit her. It's a pretty calculated move. She immediately pulls out her phone and calls the police. She's determined to make the Fang family pay, one way or another.
A Kidnapping Changes the Game
Jasmine Goes Missing
Things get even more complicated. Kwong Shan Tsuen is at an amusement park with his daughter, Jasmine, when she suddenly vanishes. He's frantic. Later, he gets a ransom note. The deal is simple: admit the will is fake, and Jasmine comes home safe. Everyone immediately points the finger at Lin Cheng. To protect his family, Fang Xueli agrees to hold a press conference and say the will is a forgery. Jiang Huanqiu overhears this and decides she can't let Lin Cheng win.
The Real Kidnapper
It turns out, everyone was half-right. Lin Cheng was behind the kidnapping. She had her father, Lin Daquan, snatch the girl. But his instructions were just to keep her safe and play with her for a day. Lin Cheng tells her dad that as soon as the Fang family gives a sincere apology, she'll let Jasmine go.
The press conference starts, but the live feed cuts out before Fang Xueli can say anything. Lin Daquan, worried his daughter is going too far, gives Jasmine to Gao Shen. Gao Shen tries to talk some sense into Lin Cheng, but she won't back down. She is obsessed with getting revenge for her brother.
The Temple Showdown
A Secret Meeting
Old Mrs. Fang wants to talk to Lin Cheng. She reveals there's more to that video of her son, Fang Yangtian. In the full clip, he begs his mother to take care of Lin Cheng after he's gone. Jiang Huanqiu sets up the meeting at a temple. But before they go in, she calls Lin Cheng and warns her not to believe a word the old woman says.
The Fall
At the temple, Old Mrs. Fang gives Lin Cheng a heartfelt apology. She tries to show her the full video, but it’s gone. Lin Cheng thinks it's another trick and they get into a heated argument. Just as Gao Shen arrives, there's a scream. Old Mrs. Fang is at the bottom of a staircase, badly injured. All eyes are on Lin Cheng. She's the only suspect.
The Aftermath
Lin Cheng in the Hot Seat
The police take Lin Cheng away. Old Mrs. Fang is in a coma, so she can't clear things up. At the station, Gao Shen questions Lin Cheng. He asks her why Jiang Huanqiu would go out of her way to arrange their meeting. That’s when the lightbulb goes on for Lin Cheng.
Jiang Huanqiu visits her at the station. She speaks in circles, trying to subtly guide Lin Cheng into admitting she pushed the old woman. Lin Cheng finally understands. She was just a pawn in Jiang Huanqiu's game to take down the Fang family. She tells Jiang Huanqiu she won't get a penny of the family fortune.
The Masterminds Make Their Move
Kwong Wai Leung finds Lin Daquan at his son's memorial. He threatens Lin Cheng's safety, forcing her father to burn the will he's holding. With that evidence gone, Kwong Wai Leung meets up with Jiang Huanqiu. They start making plans to transfer the Fang family's assets overseas and keep it all for themselves.
Gao Shen later finds Jiang Huanqiu visiting her husband's grave. He tells her congratulations. With the other will destroyed, the one she has is now the only one that matters. He points out that she's the biggest winner in all of this, since she now controls all the assets. He's onto her, and he's not letting it go.
