Episode Summary
Lin Cheng's brother, Lin Yao, double-crosses the Fang family at a press conference, exposing their attempt to bribe him. In retaliation, Lin Cheng reveals several of the Fang family's secrets. The hunt for the mysterious Dr. Ye leads to a tragic car crash where Lin Yao sacrifices himself to save Lin Cheng. Jiang Huanqiu uses a secret recording to frame Fang Xueli for the death, leading to the Fang brothers losing control of their company. We learn Jiang's true motive is to investigate an old family tragedy.

The Will is a War Zone
The episode kicks off with Lin Cheng sitting at Fang Yangtian's grave. She's clearly not done fighting his family. Gao Shen finds her there and tries to talk her down. He tells her Fang Yangtian already set her up for life, so she should just walk away.
She's not having it. Lin Cheng is still furious about her brother's death and everything the Fangs have put her through. She tells Gao Shen to stop lecturing her and just focus on proving the will is fake. He agrees, but only if she promises not to do anything reckless until he figures it out.
The Press Conference Trap
Over on the Fang family side, they're plotting. Fang Xueqin decides to bribe Lin Cheng's brother, Lin Yao. He offers him a pile of cash to lie and say the will is a forgery. Lin Yao, tempted by the money, agrees to cooperate.
So, Fang Xueli and Fang Xueqin call a big press conference. They get up there, looking all smug, and announce that Lin Cheng's inheritance is based on a fake will. They call Lin Yao to the stage as their star witness. Fang Xueqin is practically grinning, thinking he's won.
Lin Cheng's Counterattack
This is where it gets good. Lin Yao gets to the podium and completely flips the script. He plays a secret recording of Fang Xueqin bribing him the night before. He admits to everyone that he was paid to frame his own sister.
With the room in chaos, Lin Cheng takes her shot. She steps up to the mic and starts dropping bombs. She exposes that Jiaxin drugged her to sabotage a business deal. Then, she reveals that Kwong Shan Tsuen has a secret illegitimate daughter. The reporters go wild. Fang Xueli and Fang Xueqin are left looking pale and humiliated. They have no choice but to make a quick exit.
The Hunt for Dr. Ye
While all this drama is happening, another investigation is going on. Gao Jing is looking into Dr. Ye, the physician who treated Fang Yangtian. She can't find any record of a "Ye Meixia" in the school system. Gao Jing realizes the doctor's appearance at the Fang house was way too convenient.
Fang Xuexian and Gao Jing team up. They agree that Dr. Ye's involvement is suspicious. She showed up, got Fang Yangtian to change his will, and then vanished. They decide to dig deeper to find her.
A Shady Alliance
Gao Shen knows finding Dr. Ye is the key. He makes a deal with Fang Zhijun, one of the Fang relatives. He promises her a bigger inheritance than what the will offered if she can find Dr. Ye's location. Her eyes light up, and she immediately agrees.
Fang Zhijun gets clever. She takes Jiang Huanqiu out for a shopping trip. While Jiang is distracted trying on clothes, Zhijun snoops through her phone. She finds exactly what she was looking for: Dr. Ye's whereabouts.
The Deadly Chase
Gao Shen and Gao Jing rush to the hotel. A cleaning lady points them to the right room. Inside, Dr. Ye is disguised as an old woman. She hears them coming and makes a run for it.
But someone else is already there. Lin Cheng has been following Dr. Ye in secret. Just as things are getting tense, a man named Dong Youwei shows up. He works for Jiang Huanqiu and moves to attack Lin Cheng.
Suddenly, a truck barrels towards the car carrying Lin Cheng and her brother, Lin Yao. The car is hit hard. Lin Yao is trapped, but with his last bit of strength, he shoves Lin Cheng out of the car to safety. He is killed in the crash.
The Aftermath
Jiang Huanqiu shows up at the hospital, pretending to be concerned for Lin Cheng. She sits by her bed and acts like an ally. She tells Lin Cheng that her husband's death and Lin Yao's death were not accidents. She's trying to fuel Lin Cheng's hatred for the Fang family.
The Ultimate Betrayal
Then, Jiang Huanqiu gives Lin Cheng a recording. On it, Fang Xueli is heard saying he wants to kill Lin Yao. The police bring the Fang family in for questioning. Fang Xuexian admits his brother said those things, but claims he was just drunk.
It doesn't matter. The recording is enough. The company's shareholders are furious, and the stock price tanks. The board votes to remove Fang Xueli as chairman. Kwong Wai Leung takes his place, and Fang Xuexian resigns.
The final scene shows Jiang Huanqiu with Dong Youwei and Ye Meixia, who are now her captives. It turns out, her real goal is to uncover the truth about a car accident that killed her own family years ago.
