Spoiler Alert

So, Lin Zhihua is laid up in the hospital, worried that the Bochi Company goons destroyed all their hard work. But Gu Xuejiao shows up and tells him to chill. The computers are toast, but she had already backed up all their data to the cloud. Turns out, the attack actually made their team even tighter. They have a sweet moment, and just as they're about to kiss, a student in the next bed calls them out for the PDA.

Lin Zhihua isn't one to just sit around. He sneaks out of the hospital and marches right into the Bochi Company. He crashes Zheng Qin's meeting and plays the security footage of the attack for everyone to see. He basically tells her that if they mess with his team again, that video is going viral. What a boss move.

Back at the hospital, he makes a deal with his young roommate to keep her quiet about him sneaking out. He notices she's reading a Messi autobiography and, in a funny little exchange, offers to tell her when Messi will win the World Cup in the future. Deal done.

Just before a big competition, disaster strikes. Their firewall's source code has been leaked, probably when the computers were smashed. To make things worse, Lin Jiadong's team swaggers in to gloat. Thinking fast, Lin Zhihua calls his sister, Lin Zhiyue, for some intel on the rival team and gets Professor Tan to agree to some last-minute rule changes.

The competition begins, and the new rule is announced: both teams have to compete without their firewalls on the university's local network. Lin Jiadong's team quickly hacks Professor Tan's computer and thinks they've won. But then, Gu Xuejiao's team pulls off something brilliant. They broadcast the World Cup match to every single classroom computer in the building. They didn't just hack one computer; they hacked the entire campus network. Victory is theirs.

Later, while turning off the projectors, Gu Xuejiao and Lin Zhihua share a celebratory hug. But he accidentally hits the video switch, and their secret relationship gets broadcast to the whole lab. Whoops.

To celebrate their win, they head to Lin Zhihua's place. They're about to kiss over a bowl of snail noodles when his roommate, Gao Rui, walks in. Gao Rui has been acting super weird and anxious lately. Then, Lin Zhiyue knocks on the door, and Gao Rui completely loses it and hides in his room. It's pretty obvious he has a massive crush on her, so Lin Zhihua and Gu Xuejiao send the two of them out on an errand to buy soy sauce.

In the car, Gao Rui finally works up the courage to ask about "that night." Lin Zhiyue clears the air: absolutely nothing happened. The money she left him was for a taxi, not a "hush fee" like he thought. Mortified, Gao Rui makes a quick exit. Lin Zhiyue just laughs at how flustered he is.

The team is officially in the finals against a team from the Beijing University of Finance and Economics, led by Zhou Shiyun. Gu Xuejiao runs into Zhou Shiyun and Gu Mingze at a restaurant, where Zhou Shiyun promises she won't go easy in the finals. When she asks Gu Mingze who he'll be rooting for, he dodges the question, claiming he'll be too busy to watch.

The final competition involves controlling smart cars. Gu Xuejiao's team is crushing it at first, but then they hit a snag. The other team's commands are running faster than their firewall can handle. Just as Gu Xuejiao starts to panic, Lin Zhihua figures out there's an issue with the remote signal from the organizers. In a surprising twist, Lin Jiadong helps them out, confirming that key command data is missing and helping them with calculations from outside. With his help, the team gets back in the lead.
