Episode Summary
Yi Tianyu returns and actively tries to win back Gu Xuejiao while simultaneously creating conflict at her and Lin Zhihua's company. The episode culminates in a suspicious car crash involving Yi Tianyu, which appears to be a calculated plot to frame Lin Zhihua and his company for faulty technology.

Episode 21 of Summit of Our Youth begins right after a tense family dinner. Lin Zhihua and his parents leave looking seriously unhappy. Meanwhile, Yi Dafa, Yi Tianyu's father, tries to buddy up to Gu Xuejiao's parents. Just as Gu Xuejiao is about to head back to the office, Yi Tianyu himself shows up.
His dad can't stop bragging about him, especially his knack for investing. This catches the ear of Gu Xuejiao's mom, Li Sitong, who likes to dabble in small investments. She takes a liking to Yi Tianyu and asks him to give Gu Xuejiao a ride. In the car, with their old high school classmate Qi Lei driving, Yi Tianyu is already messaging Li Sitong with financial advice. The mood gets a little awkward when they start talking about their high school days.
Back at the office, a bit of drama unfolds in the parking garage. Qi Lei has taken a reserved spot, leading to a clash with Lin Jiadong. Later, in the office, Lin Zhihua is looking into Yi Tianyu’s past work and is impressed; the guy has accurately predicted several bull markets. After a brief chat with Lin Zhihua, Lin Jiadong storms out of the office and suddenly starts yelling curses at him. Seeing his chance, Yi Tianyu steps in and makes Lin Jiadong an offer.
Yi Tianyu gets a tour of the company from Gao Rui and walks into a heated argument between Gu Xuejiao’s Tech Team 1 and Zhou Shiyun’s Tech Team 2 over a project. He tries to pop into their meeting to say hi, but Lin Zhihua shuts him down, calling it an internal meeting.
That night, Gu Xuejiao and Zhou Shiyun hit a bar, where their friend Sun Tiantian breaks out the good stuff. Gu Xuejiao talks about her plans to move in with Lin Zhihua and worries that her brother, Gu Mingze, isn't making a move on Zhou Shiyun. So, Zhou Shiyun comes up with a plan: she uses blush to fake being drunk, and has her friends call Gu Mingze to come pick her up. The plan for a romantic night for Gu Xuejiao and Lin Zhihua falls through when he has to work late. The next day, Zhou Shiyun is also complaining because Gu Mingze just drove her home without so much as a kiss.
Later, Gu Xuejiao gets a call from her old school, No. 7 Middle School. The former Director Fu is now Principal Fu, and he invites her to visit. He shows her a bunch of new scholarships funded by an education fund set up by none other than Yi Tianyu, who happens to arrive at that very moment.
Outside the principal's office, Yi Tianyu begs Gu Xuejiao for another chance, insisting he's changed his bad habits. She shuts him down cold, telling him Lin Zhihua is her boyfriend. Hurt by her rejection, Yi Tianyu swears he will get his happiness back.
To make up for the last awkward dinner, Lin Zhihua invites Gu Xuejiao's parents over to his place for a meal. This time, it goes perfectly. Her parents give Lin Zhihua their full approval, and her dad happily shares drinks with his future son-in-law.
But then, things take a dark turn. The next day, Yi Tianyu is in a car crash involving a C2 model from Lin Zhihua’s company, Huachuang, apparently due to brake failure. When Lin Zhihua and Gu Xuejiao visit the hospital, Yi Tianyu will only let Gu Xuejiao into his room. As a member of the tech team, she apologizes and promises him they will figure out what happened.
Lin Zhihua immediately orders a full investigation. But before they can get anywhere, Lin Jiadong shows up at the company, Bochi, with the police to formally investigate Lin Zhihua. This move disgusts several employees, including Wenbo, who try to resign in protest. Gu Xuejiao steps up and convinces everyone to stay, arguing that now is the time to find the truth. Because of her relationship with Lin Zhihua, her own system access has been restricted.
Gu Xuejiao visits Yi Tianyu again. He tells her if she's there to plead for Lin Zhihua, she can leave. She clarifies she's just there for herself and that she trusts Lin Zhihua to handle the situation. The moment she leaves, Yi Tianyu calls his PR team and tells them to make sure the Huachuang accident stays a top trending topic to ensure Lin Zhihua can't recover.
Working late, Zhou Shiyun uncovers something deeply suspicious. The car's data shows it was moving in a straight line right before the crash, suggesting the driver knew they were about to lose control. Even stranger, the company's servers were all conveniently down for maintenance at the exact moment of the accident.
