Episode Summary
Gu Xuejiao and Lin Zhihua finally reconcile after he reveals his long-term plan to defeat Bochi Company and his true feelings for her. They decide to start a new company together. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Yi Tianyu overhears that Xuejiao is happy he has a "new girlfriend." Years later, their company is a success, and a potential investor turns out to be none other than Yi Tianyu, leading to a dramatic confrontation during their parents' chaotic first meeting.

Episode 20 of Summit of Our Youth begins with the launch of Gu Mingze's new game. He's about to skip his own event to stay with Zhou Shiyun, but she sets him straight. She tells him her tears weren't from sadness, but from the joy of finally being true to herself, and she wants the same for him.
Meanwhile, things are heating up at the lab. After what happened with Zheng Qin, everyone suspects Lin Jiadong planted hidden code, since they're related. He's got no way to defend himself, but Gu Xuejiao speaks up, saying she believes him. Lin Jiadong admits that Zheng Qin did ask him to plant the code, but he couldn't go through with it. Lin Zhihua backs this up, confirming that no malicious code was found.
Xuejiao and Zhihua then use the situation to have a coded argument about their own issues, pretending to criticize Jiadong. Realizing the conversation has nothing to do with him, Xuejiao storms out of the lab.
Yi Tianyu is waiting for her outside. She tries to blow him off, but realizes she left her phone inside. As she heads back, she overhears him on a call with his dad, Yi Dafa. He's telling his dad he's at Beijing University with a girlfriend to get out of learning the family business. Hearing this makes Xuejiao happy; helping her ex move on feels like the right thing to do. She even gives him some hot investment tips for the next few years, but since he studied economics, it all goes over his head.
Later, after everyone else has left the lab, Zhihua tries to talk to Xuejiao. She's not having it and heads for the door, but a sudden power outage locks them in. Ever resourceful, Xuejiao grabs some tools to pry the door open. As Zhihua helps, she confronts him: why didn't he upgrade the lab's security system with the money from selling the C1 Project?
This is when Zhihua lays his cards on the table. He explains that he never planned to win the deal with Bochi Company. The whole point was to sell the C1 Project to fund the development of C2. In three years, they'll be able to completely dominate Bochi. Xuejiao tells him she doesn't care about all the business drama. So, he apologizes once more for not telling her about his rebirth.
Xuejiao finally softens up, admitting that she's been running from her past, just like him. He asks her to meet him at the corporate building where she was wronged in their "past life."
The next day, she shows up. Zhihua presents her with the original program that was tampered with, revealing that Lin Jiadong was the one who planted the malicious code back then, too. But Xuejiao is past caring about that. So Zhihua makes his big move: he's rented the entire building to be the headquarters for their new startup.
He asks her to "interview" him for the job, saying he wants to make her dream from her past life come true. Xuejiao finally understands how long he's been watching out for her, and the two happily reconcile.
Back at the lab, Zhihua asks about her attitude towards Yi Tianyu. She explains their deep connection in the past life and says she's genuinely happy he's found a girlfriend. Unfortunately, Tianyu overhears this and is clearly heartbroken.
Fast forward to 2024. Bochi Motors has been forced out of the self-driving market, completely crushed by the C2 technology. The company led by Xuejiao and Zhihua, Huachuang Company, is the new industry leader. An investor from Blue Mountain Capital Group, Jason Yi, is in Jinghai. Lin Jiadong asks Zhihua to handle the meeting, but Zhihua passes it off to Gao Rui, claiming he has more important things to do.
That "important thing" is the official meeting between their parents. While shopping for a gift for Zhihua's parents, Xuejiao bumps into Yi Tianyu. He hands her his business card, revealing he is Jason Yi, the manager from Blue Mountain Capital. Just then, Zhihua calls, hears her say Tianyu's name, and immediately rushes to her side.
The family dinner goes off the rails before it even begins. Zhihua's parents both get a call and find out that news of their divorce has been leaked. They start fighting loudly. Xuejiao's parents happen to see the whole thing. The arguing couple ducks into a private room to continue their fight. When Xuejiao's parents can't get their own door open, they call for the hotel manager—who turns out to be Yi Dafa. Zhihua arrives just in time to break up his parents' fight, and Yi Dafa quickly relays all the drama to his son, Tianyu.
