Yang Qing, however, sees right through her act, noticing the strong will hidden beneath her fragile exterior.
Later, Wang Yue gets some crucial info from her ally, Fan Hao. To free their people who are being held captive by their sect, they need the "Sun Blade," a special key that happens to be in Yang Qing's possession. Wang Yue wonders why him, and Fan Hao explains that Yang Qing is the most promising and trusted disciple in all of Cloud Sect.
Wang Yue and Fan Hao plan to sneak into Yang Qing’s room at night to find the blade. Meanwhile, another friend, Shang Huai, feels bad for Wang Yue and tries to convince Yang Qing to take her back to the safety of Cloud Sect, but Yang Qing isn't fooled by her damsel-in-distress act.

This gives Yang Qing a chance to ask around Yangliu Town about her past, where he learns she's had a tragic life. Wang Yue tries to tail Yang Qing but fails, and he catches her. He refuses to let her join his investigation, but as she walks away, he's struck by how much her silhouette resembles the Saintess. Overcome with a flood of memories, he rushes after her, and in the confusion, they accidentally kiss.
