A Forbidden Marriage: The Frame-Up
Episode 8 of A Forbidden Marriage begins with Wang Yue falling into a trap. Yang Qing, seeing this, jumps in right after her to help, and along with Ming Yang, all three are captured. When they wake up, they find themselves in a mountain fortress. Ming Yang is a bit confused because he saw that Yang Qing wasn't actually trapped and chose to jump in. Wang Yue knows he did it to save her, but Yang Qing just brushes it off with a lame excuse.
After taking out a guard and disguising themselves, the trio starts looking around. Yang Qing can tell these guys aren't real bandits; they're probably martial artists in disguise. He gives Ming Yang the Yunling Whistle, a tool to call for Cloud Sect disciples, and tells him to use it. At first, Ming Yang doesn't want to call for help from the "righteous" sects, but a look from Wang Yue changes his mind.
Meanwhile, Yang Qing and Wang Yue find a clue about missing children in a large room, but they quickly get surrounded. Elsewhere, Lu Xuanxuan hears the whistle. Not wanting Yang Qing to find out she's involved, she quickly disguises herself as another kidnap victim. When Yang Qing finds her, she puts on an act and blames Ming Yang for capturing her.
Yang Qing doesn't totally buy her story and notices the fortress is now suspiciously empty. Lu Xuanxuan does her best to stall him, giving her people time to move the children. Just as she thinks they've gotten away, the Cloud Sect disciples arrive. Guided by the sound of a child crying, they find the cart. The kidnappers try to make a run for it but are stopped by Yang Qing, who manages to catch one of them.
Seeing her plan fall apart, Lu Xuanxuan offers to "help" with the interrogation. She steers the questioning to frame the Sheng Yue Cult. Once she gets the answers she wants, she secretly threatens her captured accomplice's family, forcing him to commit suicide. This perfectly destroys all evidence and makes the Sheng Yue Cult look guilty.
Lu Xuanxuan rushes to Yang Qing with the "proof," but Ming Yang immediately argues that the Sheng Yue Cult would never do something as horrible as kidnapping children. Yang Qing also feels something is off and decides to wait until the rescued kids wake up to get the real story.
Later, Wang Yue sees that Yang Qing hasn't eaten all day and tries to cook for him, but it's a complete disaster. She feels embarrassed and useless since she doesn't have her martial arts skills anymore. She suggests that maybe she should go with him to the Cloud Sect to learn Qinggong (a lightweight skill). Just as they're having a moment, Ming Yang shows up and ruins the mood.
In a separate storyline, Yuan Yingxing is ambushed. Yao Fu shows up to rescue him, but he stubbornly refuses her help, not wanting to owe her anything. She follows him anyway, telling him that Jin Buhuan is a traitor. Still angry with her, Yuan Yingxing actually stabs her. Yao Fu ignores the pain and remains determined to get him to safety.
With the children now safe, Yang Qing decides against taking everyone back to the Cloud Sect just yet.
