A Forbidden Marriage Episode 7 Recap: Jealousy, Tricks, and Traps
Episode 7 of A Forbidden Marriage begins with Yang Qing spotting the Fire Hall Master, Ming Yang. He immediately tells Lu Xuanxuan to get Wang Yue out of there. Wang Yue, who can't reveal her true identity, is reluctantly dragged away.
Back at the old man's house, the love triangle drama heats up. Lu Xuanxuan is getting super jealous of how close Wang Yue is to Yang Qing and complains that Wang Yue is useless since she doesn't know martial arts. Later that night, Lu Xuanxuan tries to win Yang Qing over with some homemade green bean soup. But just as she's about to give it to him, Wang Yue shows up, chugs the entire bowl herself, and basically tells Lu Xuanxuan to get lost. Worried that Yang Qing might actually fall for Lu Xuanxuan, Wang Yue reminds him of the strict seniority rules between their sects, warning him that getting involved would be a disgrace. Yang Qing just finds this hilarious and teases her about it.
The next morning, Wang Yue sets a trap. She cleverly manipulates a conversation so that Lu Xuanxuan overhears and thinks she can win Yang Qing's favor by luring the dangerous Ming Yang away. Lu Xuanxuan, of course, falls for it completely and leaves. It's only after she gets a message from her own people and asks about Ming Yang's identity that she realizes the truth: Wang Yue just sent her on a suicide mission.
When Yang Qing finds the note Lu Xuanxuan left behind, he immediately figures out what Wang Yue did. He is furious, accusing her of being reckless with human life, since Lu Xuanxuan is no match for the Fire Hall Master. Wang Yue is hurt that he's yelling at her over an outsider, and after a heated argument, she storms off.
Left alone, Yang Qing looks at a painting Wang Yue gave him, which triggers a flashback. We learn that he originally got close to Wang Yue on a secret mission with Ling Yin to find out if she was really the "female devil" everyone claimed she was. His memories show a different, softer side of her.
Meanwhile, a worried Yang Qing goes searching for Wang Yue. He finds her lost and walking in circles in the forest. She's secretly thrilled, thinking he came after her because he likes her. The sweet moment is cut short when Ming Yang appears. As Yang Qing tries to escape with her, Wang Yue knocks him unconscious, reveals her true identity to Ming Yang, and resolves the conflict.
When Yang Qing wakes up, he gently scolds her for being so reckless. They quickly make up, their anger forgotten. To keep Ming Yang close, Wang Yue hilariously claims he's an old flame, which Yang Qing playfully teases her about. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the two, completely unaware, walk right into a trap set by Lu Xuanxuan and her people.
