Hide Games Episode 11: No Way Out
Episode 11 of Hide Games begins with the police arriving at Zhang Ahua's apartment, only to find her computer completely smashed. Witnesses confirm that Han Xu was there. Speaking of Han Xu, he's in the middle of a prison break. After slipping away from the cafeteria, he avoids the heavily guarded front gate by climbing onto the roof, sneaking into an office, and swiping a guard's uniform.
Just as Han Xu is about to unlock an exit, he gets spotted, and a chase kicks off. Out of nowhere, another man in a guard's uniform shows up and expertly shoots the guards chasing him. This mystery man refuses to say who he is, just warning Han Xu to stop digging. Han Xu, ever defiant, tells him to pass a message to whoever is pulling the strings: he's not stopping until he gets to the bottom of it.
Now a fugitive, Han Xu ducks into a small clinic to patch himself up. He tries calling Zhang Ahua, but can't get through. Then, a call comes in from an unknown number, with the person on the other end using a voice changer. The caller tells him to turn on the TV, and Han Xu is horrified to see a news report announcing Zhang Ahua's death. Filled with rage, he listens as the caller taunts him, promising to destroy everyone he cares about. The caller then reveals they have Xiao Wu and gives Han Xu a 30-minute deadline to get to a specific location, or Xiao Wu will meet the same fate.
Han Xu races against time but gets delayed when he runs into a local religious procession and is stopped by its leader. Meanwhile, we see Chen Yaxin getting a call. This triggers a flashback to a day earlier when she argued with Wang Jian about him changing their plan. He insisted it was to keep Han Xu safe, which led her to approve Wang Jian's mission to capture Han Xu. Back in the present, Han Xu finally makes it to the pier, just as several police cars pull up. He desperately pulls Xiao Wu's body from the water, but it's too late. He's already dead.
