Episode Summary

The hospital descends into chaos after a medical incident involving Yu Ze, leading his sister Chen Li Xue to bribe Dong Yi Yan with company shares for a cover-up. The situation worsens when the entire hospital staff, secretly instigated by Wen Yi Jia, goes on strike. Amid the turmoil, Wang Qi Xin attempts to leave the chaotic hospital with a newly awakened Yiqian, but they are struck by a car. Yiqian dies from his injuries, leaving Wang Qi Xin devastated, while those responsible for the accident conspire to hide their involvement.

Chen Li Xue's Desperate Move

The episode kicks off with Yu Ze and Chen Li Xue in a heated argument. He thinks she's being neurotic. She's furious and warns him to stop screwing up at the hospital. She is sick of cleaning up his messes, and each one is worse than the last. This time, he's in serious trouble. Yu Ze then threatens her. He tells her not to mention he hit her, or he'll make her regret it.

Chen Li Xue knows this situation is bad. The patient's family is angry. They are threatening to sue the hospital. So, she goes to Dong Yi Yan for help. Her plan is to pay off the patient's family to quiet things down. Then she wants to send her brother, Yu Ze, abroad to study. She knows a black mark on his record will kill his career. Their father has high hopes for him, and this scandal would be a disaster.

To make it happen, she offers Dong Yi Yan her shares in the hospital. She needs Dong Yi Yan to make this problem disappear. Dong Yi Yan accepts the deal. She says if Chen Li Xue trusts her with the shares, she won't let her down.

The Staff Walks Out

The hospital is already a mess. The emergency department is short-staffed. Everyone is exhausted from working overtime. Tensions are high. A patient starts convulsing on the floor, and a nurse who rushes to help just faints. It's pure chaos. Some patients try to transfer to other hospitals. Dong Yi Yan steps in and begs them to stay. She promises they will take full responsibility and provide the best care.

The next day, things get even worse. The entire staff at Ming Lang Hospital goes on strike. Lin Ying Jie looks pretty happy about the whole situation.

A Web of Schemes

The Mastermind Behind the Strike

With the hospital in chaos, Dong Yi Yan suspects someone is pulling the strings. She believes the staff wouldn't be this bold with their strike unless someone was backing them. It turns out she's right. Wen Yi Jia is the one who orchestrated the strike. She's expecting to get Xing Fang's shares out of the deal. Dong Yi Yan also notices that Wen Yi Jia seems very close with Dai De Qiao.

Wang Qi Cheng's Shady Deal

While all this is happening, Wang Qi Cheng shows up. She wants her boyfriend, Ke Yongcheng, to get his surgery done early so he can start recovering. She goes to her sister, Wang Qi Xin, with a proposal. She asks Wang Qi Xin to set up a private medical area for Ke Yongcheng. In return, Wang Qi Cheng will help her find top specialists for his recovery.

A Tragic Ending

The Accident

Ke Yongcheng's son finds Wang Qi Xin and asks her to watch his performance, but she turns him down. Later, Yiqian wakes up, and Wang Qi Xin suddenly feels a strange sense of relief.

The hospital is still a disaster zone. Dong Yi Yan is in surgery with the few staff members left, trying to manage the crisis. Wang Qi Xin decides to take Yiqian and leave the hospital. The exit is mobbed with people. She tries to get a car, but they are hit. Both of them are injured.

Yiqian gets the worst of it. He's thrown clear across the road.

The Aftermath

Dong Yi Yan rushes to the scene. She manages to bring Yiqian back for a moment. But it doesn't last. He dies. Dong Yi Yan knows Wang Qi Xin will be destroyed when she wakes up. When the family arrives, she has to break the terrible news.

We then learn that Wang Qi Cheng and Peng Jian Bang were connected to the accident. They agree to keep their involvement a secret.

When Wang Qi Xin finds out Yiqian is gone, she completely breaks down. She is overwhelmed with guilt and self-blame.
