Spoiler Alert

This episode was all about the fallout. People are dealing with guilt, others are plotting their next move, and some are just trying to hold their families together. Let's get into it.

The Strike Aftermath

Fang Xin's Power Play

So, the hospital strike is the big story. Fang Xin decides to handle it by calling a press conference. She gets in front of the cameras, apologizes, and announces she's leading the investigation. Dong Yi Yan sees this for what it is. It’s a classic PR move. Fang Xin is making the problem bigger to shift all the blame onto Dong Yi Yan's camp.

Dong Yi Yan's Investigation

Dong Yi Yan isn't just going to sit there and take it. She suspects there’s more going on. Her theory is that a hacker got into the hospital's system. This hacker sent out fake resignation letters to employees. That's what really caused the anger and led to the strike. Now she just has to prove it.

Family Drama and Guilt

Wen Yi Jia Hits Her Breaking Point

Wen Yi Jia is not handling things well. She feels responsible for someone's death and this whole power struggle is too much for her. The games and the backstabbing just aren't in her nature. Dai De Qiao sees how broken up she is and clearly feels for her. Wen Yi Jia tries to resign, handing her letter to Dong Yi Yan. She believes the strike is partly her fault and she can't live with it.

During their argument, Hai Chun appears. We learn she tried to tell Wen Yi Jia something important earlier, but Wen Yi Jia was too busy to listen. Wen Yi Jia is crushed. She realizes she hasn't been paying attention to her own daughter's health and feels like a failure, wishing her husband were still around to know what to do.

The Sabotage Confirmed

The family tension keeps ratcheting up. Wang Qi Cheng goes to see his sister, Wang Qi Xin. He calls the whole thing an "accident." But Wang Qi Xin is suspicious. She points out all the extra cars outside the hospital that day. She thinks someone deliberately caused the traffic jam. Wang Qi Cheng gets nervous and quickly makes an excuse to leave.

Later, we see the truth. Ke Yongcheng is with Wang Qi Cheng and his wife, bragging. He says he deserves credit and money for the chaos at Ming Lang Hospital. He openly admits he was the one who parked his car at the entrance to create a panic. Peng Jian Bang tells a guilt-ridden Wang Qi Cheng that what's done is done. There’s no going back now.

A Mother-Daughter Reunion

To make things up to Hai Chun, Wen Yi Jia does something unexpected. She brings Hai Chun's biological mother for a visit. Hai Chun is thrilled to see her mom. The visit is short, though, as her mom has to catch a flight. It's a bittersweet moment. Hai Chun's mother points out that Hai Chun must really see Wen Yi Jia as family now, because she feels comfortable enough to show her bad moods around her. After this, Hai Chun finally forgives Wen Yi Jia.

A Crisis of Conscience

Dong Yi Yan's Past Comes Back

Dong Yi Yan is focused on her next move. She thinks she can get Dai De Qiao's vote and secure her spot on the board. Wen Yi Jia realizes Dong Yi Yan's "help" was never genuine. Dong Yi Yan was just after her company shares.

But then something shifts for Dong Yi Yan. She runs into a man named Ma Sijing. He's a former patient whose life she and Wang Jin Tao saved eight years ago. His heart condition is back, and Dong Yi Yan promises to handle his treatment.

This encounter sends her down a rabbit hole. She finds Wang Jin Tao's old notes and remembers that day eight years ago. She has a sudden, jarring realization. Since joining Ming Lang, she has become cold and ruthless. The person she is now has completely lost sight of the doctor she wanted to be.
