A Strange Feeling
The episode starts with Wen Yi Jia feeling like something is off. She's thinking about Wang Qi Xin's move to expose Peng Jian Bang. The timing just doesn't make sense. Wang Qi Xin blames Peng Jian Bang for Yiqian's death. But she wasn't even in Hong Kong when he was making deals with Ke Yongcheng. So how could she have been tracking him? Dai De Qiao agrees it's weird. He thinks someone else is pulling the strings, using the situation to their advantage.
An Awkward Celebration
It's Dai De Qiao's birthday, and Wen Yi Jia brings her father along to celebrate. Her dad has been acting strange lately, but she doesn't know he's being threatened. She gives Dai De Qiao a handkerchief as a gift, and he loves it. Her dad looks miserable, and she just assumes he's jealous. She has no idea what's really going on. Then, her child, Hai Chun, straight up tells Dai De Qiao to back off. Hai Chun says their mom and dad love each other, and he needs to stop trying to get in the middle. Dai De Qiao just says that time will reveal the truth.
The Past Explodes
The Handkerchief
This is where it all goes down. We learn Wen Yi Jia's father is the one who killed Dong Yi Yan's dad. Dai De Qiao has been connecting the dots between old photos and events from 20 years ago. He realizes his own mother's situation is tied to a massive, old conspiracy.
Wen Yi Jia's father shows up to see Dai De Qiao. Dai De Qiao pulls out a handkerchief. It's the one his own father lost the day he died. He looks at Wen Yi Jia's dad and knows he's the killer. Her father doesn't even deny it. He admits the handkerchief is his.
A 20-Year-Old Tragedy
Dai De Qiao finally learns the full story of what happened to his family. His brother was killed more than two decades ago, and his sister is still missing. It turns out his sister had a serious illness. His brother was an assistant to a Doctor Dong and knew too much about something shady. The people behind the cover-up had him killed. Out of three siblings, only Dai De Qiao is left. He tells Wen Yi Jia's father that he's a hypocrite. All his good deeds were just a way to deal with his own guilt.
The Arrest
Wen Yi Jia's father is drowning in regret. Later, Wen Yi Jia finds him drinking alone and knows something is seriously wrong. But she has no clue about the blood feud between him and the man she's falling for.
Then the police arrive. They're there to arrest her father. When they hold up the handkerchief as evidence, she knows it's true. She can't process that her dad is a murderer. Dai De Qiao, meanwhile, says he's going on a business trip and will be unreachable. He clearly feels terrible about what's happening to her. In custody, her father confesses. He claims the man fell from a cliff by accident, and he just buried the body.

Ke Yongcheng's Game
While all this is happening, other players are still moving their pieces. Wang Qi Xin is with Ke Yongcheng, who feels she's losing her edge. He, however, says everything is still under his control. He's enjoying the drama and says the best part hasn't even happened yet.
Fang Xin's Plan
Fang Xin is still determined to bring down Ming Lang, no matter how hard it is. Wen Yi Jia is trying to buy more time for the company. Dong Yi Yan tells everyone she suspects Fang Xin was behind a recent plane accident. They plan to meet with someone called Uncle Jiu's daughter, but Fang Xin shows up instead.
