Episode Summary
In this episode, a group of doctors, including Dong Yi Yan and Lin Ying Jie, are kidnapped on Ke Yongcheng's orders and forced to perform a high-stakes surgery on a boat. Dong Yi Yan successfully leads the operation after Lin Ying Jie chickens out. Afterward, Dong Yi Yan accuses Lin Ying Jie of working for Fang Xin, and new evidence emerges in her husband's plane crash. The episode ends tragically when a patient who had been recovering well suddenly dies, devastating Dong Yi Yan and the hospital staff.

A Medical Conference Goes Sideways
This whole thing kicks off with Lin Ying Jie acting like a big shot. He's the deputy director now. He leads a morning meeting for the hospital staff. He keeps going on about some important medical conference. He says a lot of famous people from the medical world will be there. He wants everyone to be ready.
Dong Yi Yan is in the meeting. She can tell Lin Ying Jie is trying to subtly put people down. He has an agenda. She doesn't say anything about it, though. She just states that she's there to assist him. He's the one in charge.
The Ambush
They all head out for this big conference. Then they get a sudden notice. The conference is canceled. As they are crossing a street, two cars show up out of nowhere. The cars block them off. Men get out and force the doctors into the vehicles. Dong Yi Yan knows this is not random. It feels planned. But they have no choice. They are kidnapped.
Surgery at Gunpoint
It turns out this was all Ke Yongcheng's idea. The doctors are taken to a boat. They have hoods put over their heads. They have no idea where they are. Their kidnappers threaten them. They must perform a liver and gallbladder transplant on a patient. If the surgery fails, they will all be killed. If it succeeds, they will be set free.
Dong Yi Yan Steps Up
Lin Ying Jie completely panics when he's threatened. He refuses to be the lead surgeon. He pretends he doesn't have the skills. He even says he has a reference video Dong Yi Yan can use. Dong Yi Yan knows he's just being a coward. She also knows he has other motives. But everyone's life is on the line. She has to take the risk. A criminal forces her at gunpoint to lead the surgery.
Dong Yi Yan tells the other doctors they have to work together. She says they have no chance of survival if they don't cooperate. One doctor tries to make a run for it. He gets caught and dragged back. The team then heads into the operating room. They have to save this old man's life.
The Fallout
The surgery is a success. The patient is stable. The doctors are all released. Ke Yongcheng is furious that they pulled it off. But he also admits he enjoyed seeing Dong Yi Yan with a gun to her head. He recognizes that she has real skill. He thinks she won't be so lucky next time she goes up against him.
Accusations and Suspicions
Dong Yi Yan immediately confronts Lin Ying Jie. She directly accuses him of working for Fang Xin. She knows he's not on her side.
Wen Yi Jia's father calls her with some major news. He found something out about her husband's plane crash. The mechanic who serviced the plane quit his job the very next day. This is definitely suspicious. Wen Yi Jia realizes this is a huge deal. She makes an excuse to leave the room.
A Sudden Tragedy
The mother of the young child patient had been recovering well. Her family had even forgiven Ming Lang for the accident. But then, she suddenly dies. Dong Yi Yan cannot accept it. Hai Chun is also heartbroken. He can't believe that sweet kid has now lost his mother. Everyone is devastated by the loss.
Wen Yi Jia is also incredibly sad about the mother's death. She sits alone in a cafe. She thinks about her late husband. He used to wait for her to come home every night. He always made her a cup of coffee. It was the best part of her day.
Alliances and Enemies
Fang Xin is feeling very confident. She meets with Ms. Wan and Dong Yi Yan. Dong Yi Yan knows Fang Xin is up to something. The three of them finally have an open conversation. Fang Xin is hostile the entire time. She makes it clear she has a special relationship with Wang Jin Tao.
This confirms a dark thought for Dong Yi Yan. She now suspects Fang Xin was the one who killed her husband.
Meanwhile, Hai Chun and Wen Yi Jia's relationship starts to get a little better. But Wen Yi Jia feels stuck. She wants justice for her husband. She also feels for Ming Lang. Hai Chun is worried about Ming Lang. He doesn't think his mother, Chen Li Xue, is helping the situation. He thinks his father would have known what to do. Fang Xin believes she has this game won. She thinks Dong Yi Yan is not even a real competitor.
